I always presumed these modern powerful engiunes should run miles and miles if looked after. BUt that many thread about leaking oil and the like, Ill be happy if mine makes 20K!
lol:p
mine always seem to shine far down the road.
If yours arnt and you only just noticed it maybe there is a fault??
I doubt theres a fault though, not on a new 182.:p
or as above you could try adjusting them yourself first. Then do a bit of driving see if they adjust with different...
doesnt sound right. WOuld it do any good if you took it apart or not? you could always take it to an audio place see what they say?
Ive got a working VDO CH600 no wire or bracket, but presume you have them bits anyway, if worse comes to worse?

chris you talking about raod angel 2 I take it? no laser reception on that just built in database and laser reception see the shiny circle on the front and the strip on the back of the unit.
I phoned them for my 5 meter antenna.
^^ they say 98RON ^^ so only optimax in the UK then if you go by the book.
I doubt it would do any harm using 95 ron fuel though, after all there are people driving them out there who dont even know 98 ron/85 ron difference.
chris it will work there but it will have to be sitting on the dash to get reception and its going to be too low for laser reception then I would have thought.
never used anything else so can;t really say.
the 100ron stuff at silverstone, is this gonna be any better, or can it do any harm running with such a high RON in road cars?
it can work if you mount it real low but then it will be getting its laser reciever blocked, so whats the point?
best bet it to get the 5 m antenna mount it on the drivers side at side of parcel shelf, hide all wiring then mount it just so the laser sensor is looking over the wipers.

VDO CH600 is a standard renault dealer fit unit. Had one on my dynamique and have got one on my 182.
If you have the correct wire (uses different wire to renault alpine unit) and you must have for it to be saying cd check etc you have plugged it in then it is 100% compatible with all renault...
the megane dynamique has this feature as standard with the renault alarm that coms with the car.
Isnt it the same alarm as the 182 one, hence does it now work on the 182?
