its been said but you need to call renault customer services as im sure they are aware of the problem with the car but probably arnt aware of how their dealer is trying to rip you off!
Doyle I know which bit you mean now. Funny you should bring this up. When I took my last clio, a dynamique for its first service they removed this. I duly noticed next time I opened the bonnet, (something I do whenever I collect my car from a renault dealer now) that they had "forgot" to replace...

going from the Jan 2004 service book:
2.0 RS clios=
spark plugs changed at 72000miles,
air filter 12000miles or every 4 years
cabin filter every 12000miles
accessories belt and pulleys every 36000mile or 5 years
fuel filter...
I think what cupcake meant was the screens are all diffferent depending on what nav system you buy? which one are you referring to the standard renault one? or one of the many aftermarket ones?
I always dry mine with a chomois afterwards, the marks it left behind as has been said are hard to remove. The water marks left are as bad as bird poo sometimes.
if you dont want a chomois use one of these...
does it have current consumption on other euro models, sire i read somewhere in the manual where it mentions current consumption. Although you are right Jeremy that the UK ones only show average.
My local dealers seem to be a bit slack when it comes to knowing what needs chaging and when, confusing the 2.0L clio to the other clios.
Been reading in the service book that accessories belt and pulleys need chaning every 36000 miles on the 2.0 whereas its 72000 for other clios, what are...
cameras can work upto a mile I believe but the accuracy wont be good at that range, more likely less than half a mile. depends on the road and bends etc.
Shell Optimax is over 98RON.
some are xenon for main and dip, not the clios though. If you look at the headlamp set up you have a H1 bulb for the main beam, (not a bad bulb in itself) still well worth putting full beam on on dark unlit road. Especially if you change this to a higher spec bulb too.
not really, probably used to but xenons more common these days arnt they.
Take it they used to do it cos of the blue "flashing" of the xenons not just because they were a different colour?
people flash me sometimes too. Who cares they are right cos they auto level.
I notice a huge difference between xenons and halogen. They are soo so much better.
