it was the first service at 18000 miles. He pushed it back on somehow. It still moved a bit but didnt lok as though it was going to come off.

I duly noticed next time I opened the bonnet, (something I do whenever I collect my car from a renault dealer now) that they had "forgot" to replace...

they are trying to rip you off Matt, for a start the filter is something which gets changed every 12K anyway! phone them and tell them.

I think what cupcake meant was the screens are all diffferent depending on what nav system you buy? which one are you referring to the standard renault one? or one of the many aftermarket ones?

so cam belt and fan belt at 36k then?

I always dry mine with a chomois afterwards, the marks it left behind as has been said are hard to remove. The water marks left are as bad as bird poo sometimes. if you dont want a chomois use one of these...

my service book which is dated jan 2004 says the belt changed at 36K?

cameras can work upto a mile I believe but the accuracy wont be good at that range, more likely less than half a mile. depends on the road and bends etc. Shell Optimax is over 98RON.

some are xenon for main and dip, not the clios though. If you look at the headlamp set up you have a H1 bulb for the main beam, (not a bad bulb in itself) still well worth putting full beam on on dark unlit road. Especially if you change this to a higher spec bulb too.

not really, probably used to but xenons more common these days arnt they. Take it they used to do it cos of the blue "flashing" of the xenons not just because they were a different colour?

sorry to hear that. I use mine quite a lot and have had no problems. It only needs a touch to disengage it mind but doesnt go off on its own.

people flash me sometimes too. Who cares they are right cos they auto level. I notice a huge difference between xenons and halogen. They are soo so much better.
