With an engine budget of say half that, would could you expect with carrying out some mechanical work myself Fred?
Is a 6 point enough for for motorsport or does it depend on the series?
Have you got any fibre glass panels to get to 850kg and is there any trim at all?

The fluid is going the opposite direction when you push the piston back into the caliper. That's what damages the seals as there would be very little pressure as its an open end in the resoviour.
I'm happy with the standard stoppers with pagid blues and brembo max discs but just spotted a set for sale and thought it might be an option.
V6's had 18" wheel iirc so though I might be asking a bit much to fit them under 15's.
When pushing the piston back you should open the caliper bleed nipple to prevent any brake fluid being forced back into the master cylinder as it can damage the seals. If you have abs this is a must as it can play havoc with the system.
A lot of people won't bother but its what I've been told...
According to the Renault workshop manual, the Clio Brakes need bled in a x method by doing os rear, ns front, ns rear then os front. That's the way I've always bled them too.
I use brembo max discs with pagid rs4's for track use as recommended by yozz on ready for the track.
He said you need the max discs to stop the pagid pads glazing over and so fair have done 5 track days and about 1000 road miles on a set of pads and I've still got about 75% of the pads left...
Try the free fix first. Loosen off your top engine mount and pull the engine forward a bit and nip up again.
Go for a drive and see how it is.
The flange on the cat should be cut away slightly to clear the subframe. Was it?
I ran them for about a year on standard shocks and they were fine. Thought they were a bit more forgiving over bumpy roads than the standard cup springs but if you're wanting to lower the car then these are not for you.
