By matching your inlets you are only doing a job that Renault should have done in the first place but did it the French way instead.
I wouldn't declare these mods and would love to know an assessor that could spot matched inlets. These guys are not going to strip an engine down to see if they...
Used a press on mine and as long as you have the correct mandrels they pop out fine. Had to file a chamfer on the leading edge of the wishbone to allow the metal sleeve to fit but other than that it was pretty straight forward.
I'm going to test fit mine on the car before welding just to make...
I was trying to buy a new one from him and he doesn't reply.
Think I'm going to spend a bit extra and go for an aftermarket ecu as the mods I want won't be suitable for a rs tuner map.
Wouldn't be too keen buying one now seen as they don't support mk2's anyway.
There are quite a few with reaching the magic 200 from itb's but the point was made back in July that 200bhp was possible without them but no news since.
Anyone know what the most anyone's got from a N/A F4R engine in any form?
SIDC track day at knockhill on the 17th of September from 9am till 1pm.
Price is £125 if anyone fancy's it and is open to all makes and models.
Would be good to see some more clios there.
Noticed today at knockhill for the btcc, porsche and ginetta cups that a few of the Porsche and ginetta cars use plywood splitters.
If it's ok for them it is for me too. Might get one made myself if it makes a difference.
I'm using pagid rs4's and brembo max discs with no CAF as yet but I've got the same issue. I'm going to try some ne discs with my CAF to the breaks and see how it goes.
Very impressive build mate. Not read up on your progress for a while but I'm happy you got there.
Well looking forward to seeing it race now but it looks too good to race! Lol
I would use the old fashioned pedal pumping method with slow full strokes making sure the reservoir is kept topped up.
In the Clio workshop manual it says the brakes must be bled in an x method doing the ns rear, then os front then os rear then finally the ns front. I have always done it this...
Got some new White 2118's and wanted to know how best to protect them as they will be used on track so plenty of brake dust.
Is there a recommended sealer and wheel cleaner you guys use.
Cheers
Interesting views from both sides of the fence but I fancy going down the RS2 route myself.
A couple of questions though:
1) has anyone fitted cams yet with it and what were the results?
2) is an open cone filter the best filter that could be used? Would it not benefit from closed or ram...
Never been a fan of 106's though but you are right. Just fancy seeing how far I can take this thing over the next few years. Probably after that time andalk the money spent I'll think back and wonder if it was worth it but if I don't I'll always wonder. If you know what I mean.
I'm starting to think you're right but am so attached to my 172 cup as I've had it since new and want to take it with me to the grave which if I don't get a roll cage might not be too far away.
