would put a ph-quick sticker on, but it really isnt at the mo.
i'm that sad i've already allocated what stickers will be going where, and you cant comment as you havent got a yellow one
pull them off. spray the 'clio' badge and then put it back on. but its easier to buy a new 'renault' and 'sport' badge and spray them before you fit them to the car as the sticky stuff on the back is a pain to peel off and put them back on with. so why bother for the sake of a few quid
believe proper renault turini ones are about £11+vat. i know thats what they were last time i checked.
whereas, the ph1 172 oz ones are only £4.50 inc vat. so result for the ph1 owners :)
you two know it makes sense. unfortunately i'm rapidly running out of money as ive got to save for the insurance, and theres loads of stuff i want.
looks mint andy, but im always saying that, so its getting a bit boring lol
thanks for the comments. spent most of today hunting round work for something flexible to put in the mount, but am currently looking at using a combination of a bolt some bolts and a couple of washers lol
handles are getting done sometime in the next week, i just had the bodyshop do the sides so i could judge how good he was. and to be fair hes done a fairly decent job for pennies :)
as for the exhaust mount i found that if i lift it by hand to where the mount should sit, the exhaust sits...
the wheels are a tough one. sometimes i think i should have kept them silver, but in real life they're not as dark as they are in the photographs and are more a 'metal' type colour and look the dogs danglies.
my silvatecs were e marked and road legal, but just appeared a bit dim. bought them from halfords last year incase you wanna pop down and have a gander at the box
camera is a k800i camera phone stolen off the gf. exhaust sounds mint and looks great, but its the bloody mount that keeps sagging making it look a bit crappy. so more little things to look into.
i had silvatecs in my old car, and i always thought they were too dim to be legal, especially when you compare them to a silvervision. however they look 10x better than the silvervisions as in some lights you can still see the amber
lol ta.
doesnt look that low in the pics but in real life it sits perfectly and 'just' and i mean that literally, just comes on the driveway. so its all good. just need 2 new rear dampers as they're fooked. but for what i paid im in no position to complain.
k-tec ?
i found powerbulbs the cheapest as i needed some sidelight bulbs as well. but fook me i darent even try to fit them in the front as i doubt i could barely squeeze a knats c**k into the recess, let alone get my hand in the gap
i know what your saying though mate, i do agree that the ph2 rear is nicer, but dont really want to molest this car to much as theres not that many of them left (in that colour) prob only around 25ish. Also would have problems with the exhaust etc.
its not a ph2, so i'm not gonna make it look like one ;) I dont think they look that good tbh, way to square and doesnt fit that well from people i've spoken too
thanks for the comments everyone :)
^ yeah i need a new exhaust mount (que andy again ;)). dont care cos the noise it makes is bloody sexual :D
JLO - havent taken pics of the engine yet, couldnt be arsed to clean it ;) basically had everything metal, polished with yellow hosing
new they're about 700 quid, but obviously i didnt pay that ;) I've not lowered much prob bout 30mm, not really into the whole 'slammed' thing anymore, want to keep it handling well
Havent posted any proper pics since i've got her back, so heres a few after spending a few grand on her. Fitted some KW variant 2 coilovers, anthracited my wheels, full yozzasport system, manifolds matched, samco hosing, fully polished engine bay (pics to follow when finished ;)), silver...
dear god your not becoming one of the turini sheep brigade are you
think it looked best on the anthracite 172s, however i'm loving the hardcore euorness, get that rim polished ;)
