Re: brake upgrades for 1.2 16v??????
Feredo premier pads from halfords and normal fresh halfords 4dot brake fluid and i was happy with my stopping power on the 1.2.
Good reminder for me this, had a puncture in my last car, girlfriend also suffered one and both times had a spare, so ill have to get a steel wheel and a cheap tyre on to throw in the back for long journeys.
Im the same mate ive only had my car for a few months, ive done everything to it i want so far, im just doing the odds and ends and tidying in general at the moment, im not sure if the plugs i have are NGK or else, if you search you can make your own mind up but the NGK ones i put the code up in...
Upgrade the spark plugs to what? The correct NGK spark plugs are the only ones the engine likes IIRC (PFR6E-10)
A lot of people say they notice the revs feeling better after a decat, with some MPG increase and slight performance.
A map suited to your mods can see some good gains.

Quick shop: 172 alloys in dark anthracite / black, lowered it quite a lot on the back but eibach sportlines would get you close to how it sits with 2 fat people in the back.
IMO the rear tint is far to dark, with the front being standard it looks very odd, looks a lot better no tint at all and...

Id go to a garage and ask them to take the tyre off and re seat the air valves maybe with some sealant or something and have a look for any damage to the tyre and rim.
Thanks for the comments everyone, the alloys where clean but had lots of black spots and black lines on the insides of the spokes, bilberry/clay/tardis wouldnt shift it so i tried wonder wheels which did the job, i can tell its very strong so sealed the wheels after with rim wax.
The paint...
Gave the car a clean inside and out, was very filthy and the interior definitely needed doing, and i just caught the sun before it went down so nipped over the fields for a few pics, still want a better photo location but seeing as these are the first propper pics since ive owned it they will do...
Take apart the rain sensor behind the rear view mirror and clean it, resemble it with a smear of ibuprofen gel on the jelly sensor, then resemble, fixed mine, i had no intermittent wipe.
Search my project thread a few pages before the end if you want to see roughly what it looks like.
You dont need them, but it helps if one person can push down on the top of the stut once the new springs on and its assembled to get the small nut on a few turns.
