Some of the aftermarket Heatsinks will come with a layer of thermal stuff on, if you want you could just use that, but its better to scrape it off and use good thermal paste.

Without looking at the reviews for the Akasa.. It might be good I'm not sure, but the Arctic cooling I linked before would fit your socket I'd go for that if it was me.

The polish was a light cut and I made sure I broke it down so hopefully a good clean will remove it.
Need a bit of help with regards to the finish on my cars paint at the moment, I spent a good 6 hours the other day cleaning and rotary polishing the car the other day.
White hex logic pad and a low cut mazerna polish just to get the light swirls out, end result was good I worked the polish...

When I put the upper gearbox mount on, things felt a lot better in some respects, but it also felt like it was slightly stiffer between gear change, is it possible for the new mount to be slightly miss aligned?

And like you say a propper lower grille, whilst your at it spraying the upper and lower grill satin black ties it all in nicely.
