Found the ones on at the moment say 'Norma 70-90' so have found a few 70-90mm clamps on ebay, but there all 12-13mm wide and the ones on at the moment are 9mm, think the biggest the air bend will fit is a 10mm, any ideas where I can get a thinner band unless one comes up on ebay, still searching.
Not too sure really, depends how much of a bang it sounds like?
I took the copper washers out for my MOT and have left them out and the odd metallic scraping noise seems to have gone so having the exhaust jacked up to look neater probably is putting it higher than it wants to sit it I've had...
Well the standard oven method used for some lights is risky on these, the plastic lenses are thin, and to get whichever glue is used on these lights tacky enough to pry open the lenses without melting the plastic lenses at the same time might be hard, I've also read that to seal them again...
The 2 large jubilee clips which secure the standard 182 air filter elbow on jump a thread when I try to tighten them, if someone can tell me the rough size to save me taking the air box off again I'd be greatful ;).
Well that was fun ! :dead:
The drivers light as said the silver inner insert was resting on the grey plastic at the bottom of the light, the passengers was fine and sitting 4mm in the air like normal.
The adjuster was sitting in fine, eventually i saw that dead in the middle of the light was a...
Found the insides are broken, theres a ball clip dead in the center if I could get it to clip back in it would be fine, but also out of the 4 small bolts that hold
The xenon surround on, 2 of the stems are broken :( need a new unit I think, never had anyone flash me, guess because there really...
The adjuster seems to be still attached, taken the light out, seems the ball that lifts the reflector is at least 3mm from
Just supporting the unit, is the adjuster electric? I.e I need to plug the light on after each adjust to see?
EDIT: re wrote that didn't think the last post worked
Got home and just whipped the light off, the adjuster is attached but the ball is at least 3mm below even wanting to support the reflector unit, so if I wind the beam up until its supported but not higher I guess that will be right? I'll try it
Yeah thats it, just done a quick search on the phone and I see now, The adjuster unit looks new, so the light will have to come out for me to see whats going on yeah, If the adjuster is broken again does it need a new one or is this little white part available seperately?
Is there a guide...
Cars passed its MOT so I took out the sidelights that where put in for the MOT.
When I took the drivers side out I noticed the main silver reflector part is lose and can be wobbled up and down, meaning the edge of the silver xenon surround is resting on the floor of the light unit if you can...
If you havent found an answer to your first question above, read in here post #9 http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?633685-Water-Pump-Change-with-cambelt
Water pump doesnt have to be changed unless you want to for peace of mind, or its fucked and needs changing.
Linked the wrong one above, this is what I'm thinking of getting:

Will get 3 of those and use the 30% code if anyone can...
Not something I'd think of tackling myself but fair play for turning it around.
If the cars been that neglected get cam belt and aux tensioners and belt changed over and think about having the dephaser changed at the same time, if the oils not been changed frequently the dephaser could start...
Yeah I tried all that mate, head started rounding on the bolt it only cracked about a quater turn and then the socket only slipped off, so will wait for the new bolts to come then I won't care about giving the thread side hell until it comes out with some help from heat.
Febi, Its a pain but I will just have to fork the £12 for the two bolts, Half the reason there not out is because I didnt want to f**k the thread up on the bolt until I had new ones.
You can use a trim dressing on the plastics, You shouldn't need to put it on the actual engine but the plastics around it like the airbox, fuse box cover, grill slam panel are fine.
