Now the warm weathers kicked in,
When putting it into first or second the gear lever has a bit of a squeek, I think its just something a bit ungreased?
Ive put some grease onto the ball at the bottom of the gearstick and its slightly better.
Any other suggestions?
Gear oil is topped...
Anybody reccomend a torque wrench that can do the job?
The only thing im missing, Will make this job exspensive tbh..
How much would a garage charge to do the job?
Cheers Fred, Being a newb i thought the drive end with the teeth was the bit that goes into the box was what needed to come out, but i understand now i can just leave that in and do have the disk and hub nut off.
I haven't counted the teeth, But they where close together so im guessing 44...

And the ring has 44 teeth?
So after high speeds, And abs and serv light coming on, I whipped the drivers side wheel off, The ring is rusty, Moves easily and is cracked.
I haven't checked the passenger side yet, But i *think* Touch wood its ok, That can be changed at a later date anyway.
Can someone link me or PM me...
Because its fine without the crush boxes looks wise, Its just safety wise im asking, I just want to know if the non sport crush boxes DO fit in the sport before i whip it off and lose half an hour of my life?.
Only took me 20 mins to change them over, But was a bit baffed about the crush boxes...
Also if anyone can advise Ben (and me for the future) Is it worth getting some exhaust silicone to reduce any chance of blowing? Ive read the paste crap just crumbles off.
You have to drop the rear axle by undoing the 2 rear shocks then dropping the axle down first dont you?
Then undo the 2 bolts i think and wiggle the system off, After getting the hanger mounts off.
Will be doing this when i find a second hand ktec, Otherwise im leaving it.
I mean my non sport has crush boxes but the sport rear bumper came without them, So i fitted the sport bumper without them and im now worrying that if i have a rear impact that there's nothing to absorb some of the energy..
And if it was important to have them there or not bother.
Cheers...
The crush boxes that came out of my non sport bumper...
Didn't seem.. I didn't look all that properly, to fit on the sport bumper.
I want to know if sport crush boxes are there (im guessing they are, Or if my non sport ones will fit?)
They absorb some energy of a rear crash don't they?
Just had some rain today, Works amazingly, Water just slides off,
Had a bit of trouble with excess haze but was solved with IPA and buffing... More my fault due to not knowing how much "excess" to take off... Which i now know once the stuff has cured you can buff and buff with residue remover...
Ive only had the ABS + serv light on once, That was high speed... well what you can do in a 1.2...
I only have abs light when the battery is on then off when the engines off which i understand is normal starting procedure.
Im still having the ABS kicking in unnecessarily though, Need to get my...
