As many of you know I have quite a few videos on YouTube, and it's been interesting to see the "discussions" develop on them as they're referred all around the world.
Today the total viewings of my collection totalled 100,000 :)
There's nothing new here, but these 3 made up half that figure...
Goodwood today; fastest circuit I've driven, pissing down all day long.
With Toyo T1-S on the back, PE2s on the front it was far too tail happy to do anything. Had to rule out the track tyres as they're almost slick, so swapped back to front, and expected an understeery mess.
It was OK...
All usable footage is now uploaded...
Part 1 - cliosport.net session - immediately after the stoppage
Part 2 - cliosport.net session - continues from above to the end (posted in my other thread)
Part 3 - williamsclio.co.uk session - rear facing camera
Part 4 - Meganesport and AXOC...
I start just about to enter the left where a certain member had a moment.
You can see it has a severe crest falling away sharply from the apex. This was the first lap at pace and it was slippy on cold tyres. Very tricky corner.
I hoped I had the incident in my mirror, but it was beyond what...
...I've been talking about getting one of these for ages. Been watching one on eBay for the last week, but no matter how much I want/need one, I struggled with the idea of spending £200+ on it.
Then she goes and makes the decision for me, early Happy Birthday MarkCup :D
I only got it tonight...
I need to leave my road wheels somewhere safe as I'll be sticking track wheels on as soon as I arrive.
I can't leave them in my boot as I'll break my neck at the first braking zone...so, how at risk are things left on our "stand"? Have people had things nicked/damaged before?
Anyone care to...
Filmed Saturday morning, hot dry and sunny :approve:
Something for everyone here, rally cars, bikes, F1 cars old and new. The last two passes filmed were, err, interesting
Best listened to with your volume set to 11.

...went out for a blat this afternoon, nice roads, rear-facing camera, K-tec stealth and Yozzasport decat in all their audible glory, aided by a stripped to the metal rear interior.
Short shifting at first through 2nd/3rd/4th, then a high rev blast to the top of 3rd through the "twisties"...
Just about to order new TV, Sky HD, and DVD theatre package.
Already got an Xbox360.
What do I need the DVD theatre thingy to have to be able to handle 5.1 digital from both the 360 and SkyHD?
2 optical inputs?
What other connection options are there?
Thanks
Mark
I thought I was doing OK until a 230 driven by the Renaultsport Megane chassis engineer went past me like I was stood still
Lot's of cars seen on this one - everyone was out in the dry, including a racing blue 197 and liquid yellow R27.
Not sure who the black 182 was, quick though...
First thread from me ever in here LOL
Getting ready for Brands next week and I just remembered that the tyres I'll be running I leant to a member on here for a week not long ago.
In that time they saw fit to "dress" them meaning they've now got a lovely slippery outside inch of the tread and...
I've long thought (since new) that it was down to weight, with me being in the car on my own and no passenger, but today I proved otherwise.
I was out two up practising threshold braking; time after time after time (about 6 in all) I braked from *** miles per hour down to a complete stop...
...almost.
Some went early, one got left behind, one bugged out halfway, but you get the idea...
Click me
I don't blame whoever it was that bugged out though, as this is what it was like when I followed dan and matteh in their valvers...
F*** me
My windscreen now sports 3 fresh chips...
Day to day I have no problem, car stops fine, no noise or vibration, nothing untoward.
When making progress though, after one or two heavy brake applications, I get a noise relative to road speed, a knocking that's only present when on the brakes and it gets louder the longer/harder I'm on...
The last time I drove my Clio was Friday night :(
I'm now "stuck" in the arse end of Cornwall on holiday with only our Focus at my disposal. Good though the Focus is, the B3072 is crying out for a Cup attack.
I actually dreamt about my Cup last night, I'm really properly missing it, the...
Not a Clio (obviously), this thing was mental.
It went from 160bhp at about 4,000 rpm, to 480bhp at 5,000 rpm - you can see how violently it spools up from the graph at the end of the clip...I can't even begin to imagine what that must feel like on the road :D
Enjoy
My Cup feels strange and I don't like it.
It's keener than ever on turn in, but feels ever ready to tip into oversteer. The slightest steering input sometimes feels like it starts to scrub, while the back seems ready to go. I've not provoked it yet to test.
I first really noticed on the...
A lap of Bedford's West circuit - 1:27
Not directly comparable with the 1:33 Evo managed as the video skips a bit and there was no pif-paf either but I'm happy with it all the same.
The instructor I had with me was one of the better ones that I've come across though :approve:
West Circuit...
I've been thinking about what I want to do next training wise, and going for training/membership of the HPC appeals.
Anyone on here a member already?

Incredible!
I've got a new set of discs sat next to me ready for Rentech Mike to fit tomorrow. I just realised that this is only the 3rd set my car has ever worn.
Standard lasted about 35k IIRC, then on went some Brembo HCs.
I'm on 82k now, and they still have both wear indicators showing...
... torque steer?
I've been known to double back and try a stretch a second time just to feel the little b***ard writhe in my hands. Love it :D
I'm curious...odd or not?
The ten runners...
2 hours later, a spot of fresh (gale force) air...
Typical, it got its first wash in 9,000 miles yesterday too...
Post breakfast...
Good to see everyone again, shame about the closed roads, that it was damp and that there were too many other cars...
Do you go for the nipple, or just let your finger slide?
I used to swear by the nipple on a Toshiba I had years ago, but on this Dell I got in December, I've persevered and I'm now pad all the way.
Or do you just absolutely have to hook a mouse up to your laptop?
