...I think. I read how to do the double de-clutch thing and have been practicing it for a while. I know it's technically not necessary, but when going for it, it really makes the next gear engage easier, less resistance.
Advice welcome :)

Also, WTF was the rumbling from the brakes on...
...just what my 172 Cup is capable of.
Stayed over at the NEC for the last two days as we were exhibiting, drove there and back in the Cup, 170 miles each way.
A34 was a nightmare, two contra-flows, with 2-4 miles of queueing on each of them in both directions.
Trip computer was reset...
Filmed at Surrey Rolling Road today...
Mine made a nice 179 bhp - though the bloke said it didn't count :( so I have to settle for 177 bhp instead.
I hate watching this close up but feel compelled to...it always feels like the engine is about to implode...

I've got some Motul RBF600 I'm going to change to before Oulton.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't use it in my Cup?
I know it's hydroscopic (sp?)...how long will it last before it needs a change?
Played around again this morning trying to get something a little better. Try as I might though, no matter what I do with the balance/brightness settings my face always seems to come out bright white...
To those that know me...do you think this is a good likeness? I think it's pretty good...
I've got one of these coming today through work.
Anyone had any experience?
Am I going to be banging my head in frustration?

Taken from the Airfield day last November.
Listen to the noise as it snakes away from the line, and how close the ratios are...this thing was a f***ing nutter!

I've just got myself a new laptop through work, and I told my IT guy I wanted something half-decent that was workable.
It seems good enough, and I know it's got a 60gb hard-drive.
How do I find out the rest, processor, ram, all the other things?
Where do I look? I've not got clue...?
One for Weeman this I think...almost 5 minutes of the Richardson in action. Let me know if it works for you and I'll see what else I can dig up ;)
Renaultsport trackdays...limited numbers, lots of trackspace, open pitlane, and Marshalls that occassionally look the other way when you're having...
Babbage I know (from Nov 2004), but I only ever put stills up before.
The closest I've come to connecting with another vehicle and/or swapping ends on public roads...

I'd want something that is perfectly usable day-to-day (300 miles per week commuting), but that has enough adjustment to get it really focussed and firm on track so I can make the most of the track tyres. Maybe then I'd have gotten past that pesky F430 :rasp:
What options do I have?
What do...
I've just been out on a set of Dunlop D01J's that haven't seen tarmac for at least 8-9 months.
I was running pressures too high (30 psi), they're only 195's (normally I run 205 track tyres), and I obviously couldn't get any serious heat into them on public roads...but I was surprised at how...
...a headlight bulb has gone :(
Now I can justify spending money on those expensive super-duper bright white light jobbies.
Any recommendations?
Also, how the f*** do you get to the left-hand bulb? I don't have the hands of a small child...
I subscribe to a financial advice/news service and got this this morning, looks like things might be changing for insurance companies
How Insurance Firms Avoid Paying Out
Last month the Law Commission published its tentative proposals to change the law relating to misrepresentation...
Had a set of PE2's fitted since last Friday, had a few good runs on them so far, gradually getting a feel for them.
Just been out for a lunchtime thrash, really leaned on them.
Pulled up outside our warehouse and the lads are all outside smoking.
"I thought you could drive Mark?"
"Eh?"...
Just about every picture I've seen recently of other 172's or 182's shows then wearing Turini wheels.
You'll all be after Mondial Blue resprays, Mossa cloth interiors, and be taking the fuse out of your ABS next.
Why not just admit it, you know you want to ;) , you know what I'm talking...
Got these recently, only just put them on the car for the first time.
They're going to get a rough coat of something, and I'm leaning towards bright yellow, but I'm open to suggestions...
Could someone please photoshop these pics to show the wheels in;
Lime green
Flourescant pink
Yellow...
