Hmm that adjusted std boost gauge seems a bit dodgy. Its like me taking someone out and saying " yeah althought it takes me 5.4 seconds to get 0-60mph I have actually adjusted the speedo so 60mph is actually 100mph"

Exactly.....you can't do much too an M3 as they look great as they are...I actually like the alloys and they probably help try and put the 440bhp this mucka produces :)
Chris
Looks decent enough...but I still think this is one of the best....pictures and the actually car look 1st class

I bought it off a guy in Cheadle hulme (cheers Mike). The gap looks worse than it really is as the cam was so close but it isn't perfect by any stretch

I'm looking into the mirrors but won't bother with the fog surrounds...no fog in the nearside anyway so probably eventually get some brake ducts or something
Chris
Yeah...its just the cleaning aspect that put me off with me running PF pads...the black ones are fecked from the sparks flying all over the place lol.
I might be going for these in 15s for the track ...would have to be regularly cleaned tho lol

I got it done my a m8...fixed and spray for £500. It isn't a great job (overspray on the archliners and some orange peel in places) but it is just what I wanted. It is mainly used as a track car so I wasn't too bothered about the finish..but it is a lot better than I expected tbf.
Was like...
I can see your point but unless Scarborough is a lot warmer than Blackburn then I could probably count days in the high 30's on the fingers on Jeremy Beadles stump! Overseas is a different story...much drier heat and as this post shows, some people can't do without it and others aren't fussed. I...
Thats the thing tho...the idea is to pick the right moment to 'tool' along. There is no denying that ABS is a superb idea but if you only have time to slam on then tbh you are either diving too fast/too close or you wouldn't have time to brake and swerve out of danger which is the main point of...
Sounds like you have a good one m8....Kev and Paddy have both got around that time in totally standard 172's and Flaming Monkey got one in his standard Cup. I'm guessing the 14.6 was around 93ish? maybe a little more...at crail a 14.6 would have a terminal speed of about mach 3 as tends to...
I think book figures don't give you the full story tbh...there is more to the Cup than just .3 secs or whatever to 60. The typical variety of engines can make or break the car but with identical engines/drivers/conditions the Cup will be fast...good FF against a cack Cup and the outcome is...
I'm sorry but I don't think there will be any spanking involved (unless it is the usual CS spanking). From a standing start you will defo be quicker but from a roll I certainly wouldn't take anything for granted...The golf is obviously a lot heavier but with the power (probably nearer 160bhp...
