MOT passed with ZERO advisories, pheww! ..... service also completed and dealer stamp in the book, nice!
I was told the mechanics were all loving it and having a good look, so that was nice hear! Makes a change working on something like that I guess, well, compared to Twingo's and...
I had a set of AP's on my old Mk5 Fiesta Zetec S, I know what you mean about the cost, I paid like £450 ish for mine too and the whole car only cost me £750 😂 .......... I thought they were really good tho especially on track which is mainly what I wanted the car for at the time
Good stuff sorting it all out, the car looks spot on now with the spacers, just finished off the look nicely!
Really interesting seeing the GAZ HQ photos too, when you just see the end product, you never think about how they start life lol!
Another great write up, this is rapidly becoming one of my fav threads on here. True story!
Back to the car, great progress and that was sooo jammy about the refund........... got you free wheels though, so even better
That sounds a really good combination, looking forward to the photos of it fitted. It's similar thinking to my own car in regards to wanting a subtle exhaust but a little extra too when pushing the loud pedal......... with me it was Milltek cat-back (very quiet) and the K-Tec Racing induction...
Thought i'd start my bank holiday Sunday with a bufty session on the Clio and was out there before 9am so perfect temperature to give the car a nice coat of wax to top up what I did a few weeks back. Same drill as before, everything has been done, lights, skirts, mirrors, even the number plates...
This looks more amazing with every update, I know it's been said a lot but the attention to detail to not only the work but the updates on here really make for a great read bud! The coilovers are just what the car needed imo, now you have the lows to cope with the smaller 15's to finish the look...
Good stuff mate  This has saved me a few quid this side of Christmas, phewwww!! After writing about it the other day, was playing on my mind about the car being let down by cheapies lol!
Agreed  I think after the service, mot and brake fluid change next month 4 new ones will be almost next on the list. Had some Michelin Pilot Sport 3's on my old Civic Type-R and they were really good, may go for them again I think! If the car was a daily, i'd have done it already for sure!
Thanks for the nice comments guys :up:
The tyres on the car at the moment are 195/45/R16 but sadly they are all budgets which i'm not very happy about at all. The fact they all match is the only good thing! They were all fitted by the previous owner and have loads and loads of tread left...
I know exactly what you mean! I still say when I got the car a wheel change was near top of the list but they have really grown on me, I think the silver helps a lot in that thought process!
That's exactly what I was going to say, for the cost of the car when new, you'd have thought Recaro's would have been standard!
Anyway, great addition to a very cool car
This is going to be awesome buddy and your saving yourself a small fortune fitting it all yourself!!
"a bit daunting with drilling holes in the turrets" that made me smile as I was exactly the same only difference is I got someone else to fit mine 😂
That's exactly right, for a low owner and/or new vehicle you won't get much back, but for an older car it's well worth doing. I mean for my Clio I got a decent amount of information on several sheets as it's had a few owners BUT the best one was my old 1990 Fiesta RS Turbo......... that was like...
Haven't updated for a little while as to be honest, nothing has been done with the car! But today I was out and about to get the tracking checked as since I've had the car, the steering wheel has always been fractionally to the right when driving straight. No biggie! Got that done at a garage...
Ahh nice! I was looking at maybe getting a 330D but went for the 325i in the end and luckily found a low miles one..... it's a 52 plate and still only on 53k now
Sounds like the Clio has had as little money spent on it as possible sadly but that'll all change now, plans sound good!
Great looking car, looks a good base for a project especially with that mileage
Looking at the pics of other cars, what engine was in the E46? That's EXACTLY the same as my daily lol, M-Sport, colour, wheels, mine's the 325i
