Ok great, how much did it cost you?
EDIT: Nevermind, just looked them up myself and they're looking for around £60 per wheel. Which is considerably more than the £16 a wheel I may or may not of heard about
Hi, looking to refurb my alloys as the last owner kerbed them up to f**k. I remember seeing somewhere on here that there was a place that charged just £1 an inch on refurbing wheels? Or I could have just dreamed it. Looking to get my 16" 172 alloys refurbed in anthracite. Just wondering if...
If i was you then I'd do all your original plans, 172 kit, 172 ph2 rear bumper. Also go for a cup spoiler, coilovers, spacers, colour code the side strips + door handles and I'd get some Williams wheels as I'm not a big fan of the ones you just got. Then you'd have a car that looks epic!
Haha I know tell me about it! Hopefully it'll start looking decent when it's sitting a bit lower. If I was going to throw loads of money at it i'd get coilovers and some gold Cades Eros alloys, colour code and get a 172 rear bumper but I don't have the money to throw that much at a 1.2, just...
I was thinking about those, wasn't really sure how much difference they'd make to the look though but i will have another look into it.
Thanks, I got them for £30 because they were for a ph1. Not sure if they're still on offer but i'll have a look for you
By the way Jossman, yours looks quality now it's nice and low. Get some silvervisions though! I'd also suggest RS grill and colour coding the side strips. But you don't really follow the crowd, which is a good thing!
Indeed it is the best colour! Not just yet, due to moving to Bristol for uni i haven't been able to get the springs fitted yet. Student loan should be coming through fairly soon though but i'm running out of ideas really, apart from big spends like coilovers/new alloys/sport bumpers. Missed out...
Ignore everyone who's saying leave it as it is. It's your first car, naturally you want to play about with it! (as i do with mine) your plans sound great (except stickers, i personally hate them but it's your car) I wouldn't recommend going and throwing thousands at it but all the things on your...
Here's a picture with them on, ignore the chavy rest of the car and just check out the lights http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-CLIO-3-REAR-ROOF-SPOILER-tuning-rs-eu-/370371470135?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item563bdc2337&_uhb=1
Yeah facelift rear lights do look better, but i saw a picture of the ones i linked fitted somewhere and they looked awesome, i'd definitely get them if I had a mk3, they aren't too noticeably different either
I do prefer the xenons. But I've always liked angel eyes on other cars. Plus at least these ones keep the same sort of shape/layout of standard clio headlights so i quite liked that, just not gonna be a fan if they're all shiny and overstated
Awesome looking car! However I've never liked the rear end of the mk3s, think it's because of the lights. get some of these on it and it will be awesome...
Beautiful car, possibly the best non sport on here! However one thing I would suggest is colour coding the boot release button. Looks so much better as that way it shows the renault diamond rather than a solid blob. Stunning car though. Get it mapped ;)
Finally another update! Haven't done anything for a while since I thought I'd have to get rid of my car to go to uni but it turns out I can keep it :)
To celebrate keeping it I decided to colour code the side strips, it isn't a perfect job as I did it myself but still looks loads better...
Bugger, I was hoping that wouldn't be the answer to be honest haha. Just spent 2 days sanding side strips so not really in the mood for sanding right now. Anyone know which grades are best to use and which technique for getting into all the corners? Would be much appreciated
I noticed a few people on here have sprayed their grill black rather than the original dark grey.
Was just wondering how you sand it down beforehand? Looks extremely niggly. Or could i get away with just spraying it without sanding? :/
Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not there Liam. But don't give up if you're interested in your car just because a few people don't like what you've done. Get it how you want it to look and that really is all that matters, forget everyone else
Pretty sure I'm not the only one who would interpret that as negative. Like I said in my last few posts, I didn't say no-one was allowed to write bad feedback about people's cars, I am merely saying that offering improvements is the way to go if you don't like it, rather than just trying to put...
Besides the point but ok. All i was trying to say was that people should offer constructive criticism if they feel the need to criticise, rather than just saying things you see too often on this site such as, "Looks gash", "That's s**t" and "hate everything you have done". Also, it seems that...
No-one would like to hear that about their car. You can look for, "implicit constructive" criticism all you like, but the fact is that there is nothing constructive about his statement. If he then went on to suggest improvements the fair enough but he didn't. Even if he did, saying that he hated...
Comments like this are what really annoy me about this site, why bother putting that? Yeah it may be your opinion but you could at least try to be constructive, offer improvements etc. That comment isn't helpful to anyone. I have no time for people like you.
