Best is, Light rub down to key the plastic, Primer, Sand smooth, base colour, second coat. Paint letters with small paint brush.. take your time and paint.
Then laquer.
Ive read about covering the light in tin foil, Taking the rubber cap off at the back and heating it lightly with a hair dryer.
Apparently what some dealers do when they have this problem.
Oh dear, People arent really a fan of the fast and furious look on here.
But fair play for posting up.
Ive got fusion speakers in my fronts, There not too bad. But i wouldnt want to advertise to anyone ive got them. lol.
I see your point mate, And its quite possible to get away with "thats the way i bought it".
But its not really worth it for a quite a big mod such as seats.
And insurance companys will make money out of you every way they see possible, Its how they keep going.
I did mine with halfords spray cans.
Used about 2 filler primer on side strips after rubbed down smooth, then 1 grey primer.
Probably about 3 colour and 3 laquer.
Wait untill it gets warm, I think the laquer will cloud in this weather.
Also sprayed my laquer too thick so had to sand down...
Side strips could do with matching the body, Looked a lot better when another member on his re colour coded them.
As said 2nd splitter could do with coming off, And exhuast meeting the recess.
But the paint looks immaculate, V nice.
