Heard something interesting last night....... at least 2 of the local Clio lads I know round here reckon the coolant in my car is the right colour, that being the pinky colour, and shouldn't be green (when I said it should have type-d in it) is there any major difference!?
Cheers...
Had a little local get-together this evening so thought i'd post up a couple of photos, we did *TRY* and arrange the colours!
Oh and just for @LeeRS there you go buddy, little nod to my forum profile 'trial fitted' on the rear window
Just read this thread from the start to finish............... all I can say is, WOW! :openmouth:
The difference between those first photos on page one and now is like night and day, the car is a credit to you chap
After all the work you've put in making it a one off, i'd find it VERY...
If you fancy a set of the strut top covers, these are the ones I bought;

Thanks for all the positive comments guys
Thanks, my strong aim for the car is oem+ with just a few tweeks here and there (but also *trying* to keep it looking factory fresh!)
Miltek cat-back will be next and then later on in the year service, bright green type-d and new coolant bottle
Tell me about it!! I honestly don't know where to put him where it'll look good 🙈😂 Didn't want to just stick it on slap dash style and then end up taking it off. Was thinking bottom right of rear window but also thinking engine bay!? This is the only reason its not on lol!
Oh really!! Was after an original style one too, never mind, will bare that in mind Lee
Oh and as for the tax disc holder, I've only just put it in 😂
Looks fantastic in the photos when cleaned up matey, great work  sounds like it had a real hard life before you got it tho, but your getting there and bringing it back, that's the main thing!
With it being such a lovely day today, thought i'd take the car out for a blast this morning and also get some 'proper' photos now I've made a few small changes here and there........... these little cars really do put a smile on your face!
Ahh nice one!! I saw this advertised on one of the facebook groups and was kinda watching in the background, he said it had just been sold......... he also said he was amazed by how much interest it generated, looks a great example!
Ahh I see, looks really smart! Never would have known it was that system....... ain't that the truth tho, bought mine as a 'fun' toy but only had it a month and already it's becoming a garage ornament and ocd bufty haha. Can't take it out in the rain tho right!? 😂
I'm going to be honest here......... it's when I was being nosey having a look at your project thread I saw your chrome ones and thought 'nice!' so that's what made me go get some myself 😂 They are only plastic however, nothing special hence the price but that said, they do sit on the...
That really is stunning and exactly the wheels I want for my Arctic (over the Renault versions)
At the risk of saying something stupid.......... is that a Miltek exhaust? Looks spot on!
Wowzers, it's like you sold it 4 years ago not 4 months looking at it there, looks like the person you got it off battered it 🙈
But this is all good, just means there'll be a bigger '''' when it's mint again, or at least had your stamp on it lol!
Had a couple of small things turn up in the post so as I had some free time this morning, thought i'd head back into the garage again, as you do!
I saw these strut top covers on eBay and for only 20 quid, so thought it was worth a punt! They are actually pretty decent quality and took all of 10...
This is a seriously smart looking car, coming along very nicely indeed!
Not saying this is the case for this chap, but I ALWAYS without fail blank the plates on any photo of my car..... when you've had a car/number plate cloned in the past and the police round saying you stole petrol...
This answers what I was thinking......... don't be tempted to sell it again if you've now owned it three times haha, keep it until it's done  would be awesome to see it minty minty BUT if its getting rusty, is track and for 'fun' a better way to go?
