As far as I'm aware, the instant you lift from full throttle the full overboost is available again. So a momentary lift would restore it.
As said though, I'm struggling to find anywhere that allows you to hold any gear for 15 seconds. In the lower gears you're on the limiter well before it...
Before Mountune, it felt a quicker than both my 172 Cup and 200...but in reality was probably only just quicker than 200 and just behind or on a par with the Cup.
Now, it feels a LOT quicker, and I'd say is ahead of the Cup no question.
Around Goodwood I was 1.5 seconds quicker in the Cup, at...
Simply what it would give if it gave a lower boost figure at full throttle.
I've been trying to capture it dropping the boost back down...but it's not easy to hold any gear on the road for the 15 seconds full boost it gives.
Third's nice but I'm finding fourth's enough to lose traction at the moment. I'm getting the chance to play with and feel the eTVC working around empty damp roundabouts at the moment. Learned a lot so far. Can't wait until it dries out and gets warmer.
They're not driving boots at all. They're a day to day 'trainer' that's designed and built with driving in mind...rounded heel, reinforced edge to the right shoe, soles that while robust still allow you to feel everything.
Just LOL at the reaction to them.
All valid points if you're sourcing a car that way. I guess my points aren't quite so valid as mines a private ownership, cash purchase, with a 5yr 100k mile ownership on the cards.
Maybe he wanted the car to drive and not the plate to look at?
I know I'd have happily had my 13-plate at any point up until 1st September. Come resale time there are far more factors affecting a car's resale value then it being registered 4 weeks before a new plate.
That's where it's most noticeable...my 172 Cup too used to hit a wall, 5th gear was all but useless. This though, from 100-115 it goes very well...would have gone on but I had to brake for Madgwick.
Get the cheapest mono one and no, it'll be no better than what GoPro fit as standard.
Find a half decent stereo one, it'll be far better than standard and will give you lots of alternative mounting options (so long as you're happy taking a Dremel to the case to modify it).
Yep. Almost one year since I almost put a deposit down on one, and apart from on the Renault stand at the Festival of Speed, I have not seen a single one on the road/in the flesh.
There's only a handful I know of across the forums I frequent too. I'm sure there was a more immediate take up of...
External is the only way to get 2 channel stereo sound...I rarely use the onboard mic myself for this reason.
On eBay search for stereo lapel microphone - you can get them for a few pounds.
Will be interested to see how it copes on track intake wise. I have no plans for an revised intercooler though. Spend £500-£600 on something, the benefit of which I'll see for maybe 2 hrs per year? LOL, just no.
Thoughts? It gives it a little more of everything, right where it needs it. More...
Anything from 210-255PS if you believe every RR printout that's out there.
Reality I think is more likely 225-230 at the moment...tiny weeny turbo is the limiting factor...circa 250 is about the maximum anyone's expecting without having to strap something else onto them.
LOL, not quite bowling shoes...https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=PIL001
Yep, Torque gathers the data then I rework within Excel and pull it all together within RaceRender2.
I managed 12,000 miles before I had mine done...it's worth the wait I think as you'll get to really appreciate it when it's finally done.
Glad you're loving it! Completely unsurprised though ;)
There's no massaging to the figures at all so long as fuel pumps and the mileometer are accurate. What I report and chart is all calculated from that.
It helps that my commute is lengthy but all on back roads, no junctions, no traffic, very little acceleration and braking. Hold your car on a...
Guaranteed I will! I can't think of any reason at all why I'd need or want something else for the next few years.
26 miles more on the way to work this morning...indicated mpg now shows 49. LOL
