Well, I got my money back from Google for their yellow case as it was slowly and very definitely turning green!
Trouble is, while deciding what to go for, I've dropped it and smashed the screen. Grrrr.
Are there any recommended repairers? A quick Google has indicated a cost of around £150...
They're easily on a par with the Clio 200 of old as far as driving goes, and have far more pace to go with it - they'd set your pants on fire as much as any of the current/recent crop. What else would you expect from a 200bhp 1,100 kg hot-hatch?
They still seem willing to do a deal if you can find the right dealer and catch them at the right time!
I saw only my second one on the road this weekend...Molten Orange. So that's mine and two other orange ones I've seen...nothing else. I don't know where they're all hiding.
I love the way they call it brake regeneration to make it sound like it's got some fancy F1 technology.
The reality is it's 'off the throttle regeneration' as the actual brakes contribute nothing!
Very clever all the same though, my Fiesta does the same and it works well.
I subscribe to Dave's school of thought, give it a chance to come to life instead of demanding it from the outset.
Impatience is the reason most smash them straight out of the crate but convince themselves that it's because no mechanical sympathy for a brand new engine is required or they're...
LOL - I prefer wise.
Just saw this, at 504 miles, oh dear...this is what happens when Ford convince the insurance companies that the ST is a warm hatch leaving 17 year olds queuing up to insure them...
Oh they noticed it alright. Confused glance from the car wash bloke and then banter as the service guy got in it.
Nothing of note said that I could pick up with the microphone though.
I rigged my GoPro up for its recent service out of idle curiosity as well as wanting to make sure they didn't rag its t*ts off from cold.
It turns out the only thing wrong was that I forgot to tell them not to wash it. Grrrr.
They're as good on the road as they are on track...and arguably far more fun than anything with more power as you can just drive it flat out everywhere.
They're standard fit. ST1 are cloth and grey only, ST2/ST3 they're part leather and grey or orange...but the orange interior option isn't available with red and blue body colours.
Understood.
What you could always do is buy the car you want to own and not give a flying f*** about what anyone else (most of whom you do not know anyway) thinks.
That's what I did and I'm loving it.
To be fair to the 'community' it seems to be an even split between 40-50 year olds along with the 17-25s as well.
Sadly though, the elders seem just as bad at throwing tasteless additions at their STs on as the yoofs.
