couple of things I'd check. First would be if the engine cover has rubbed a hole into the fuel lines. That happened to me once and it made the car die under boost, the pressure opened a hole and spurted fuel out. id then unplug the map sensor on the top right of the airbox and see if the car...

The kit is probably from a 172 cup where they use the speed sensor on a gearbox instead of the abs. Can be changed in clip. Does your speedo work? Probably just need the setting changed.

Remove the radio and there are 2 torx screws which hold in the heater panel. Cables are clipped into the back of it

Sounds like the heater matrix. Have you removed the panel and tried pulling the cable

The additional parts to go wide track would set you back no more that £50 on top of that so you may as well! It only takes a few hours to do
