What's the process for the matrix mate, same as the thermostat housing bleed screw? Or is it one to do with the engine running/idling?
Should I have the heater on hot on fan speed 1 the whole time?

I need to bleed my coolant after replacing the radiator, is this the correct procedure (I found it on Google)?:
Undo 10mm nut at the top of the thermostat housing,
Fill coolant tank until a steady stream comes out of said 10mm nut and do it back up,
Leave coolant tank lid off and start car and...
Possibly, I know mine's a ph1 non-aircon setup, and I think the car that this one came off of was a ph2 aircon model, if that makes any difference?
Is that sensor needed to tell the fan to come on..?
For whatever reason my 172 has an unknown radiator on without a fan atm, I've got a 172 rad with fan to replace it which I'm getting round to doing, but I've come across a few things.
In the engine bay wiring loom there's 3 plugs coming out for the fan etc stuff. 2 of which I can see go into the...

You can just about hear the iffy idle, and can clearly see the engine shaking on idle.
P.S. I'm aware I'm missing an engine mount bolt, one is on order..!

Tbh for what they charged to do the cambelt and dephaser etc compared to what I've heard people pay on here, it wouldn't surprise me if something was wrong...
What's the postcode of your place mate?
What sensor do you think it could be? The cambelt, dephaser pulley and aux belt were done in February or April this year, according to the invoices anyway...

I've recently taken ownership of a ph1 172 and there's a couple of niggling things that I'm hoping I can be helped with.
1) The idle is rather lumpy/rough, the revs don't jump or judder, it just sounds to have a rough idle, almost like a cammed but unmapped car?

I would measure the current rad if it was still in the engine bay, I stupidly got rid of it before doing so!

I've got a ph1 172 with an aircon delete and need a new radiator for it, my question is (and I apologise if it's a stupid one) will a radiator from a 172/182 WITH aircon fit/work? Or do I need a non-aircon specific one?
