This sounds exactly like my problem, ph1 172 also. So far I've changed coil pack, HT leads, spark plugs and front o2 sensor (i also got this fault on RS Tuner). Have you got to the bottom of it yet?

Could be conincidence mate. I drove my car to Heathrow no problem, left it in the car park 2 days and when I came back I now have an intermittent misfire. So it can and does happen.
