197/200 steering wheel on 182.

looking in to fiting this to a 182.
i hear some people have had to fit a spacer behind the steering wheel is that right?
or is it a case of it will be ok without?

pm cotball if you want one, he bought mine which i modified the cruise control loom on so its just plug and play!

its on a friends car hes got the wheel etc i got to fit. any ideas about this spacer? ive heard people just fit them but the v6 boys use a spacer
