No need, a big screwdriver worked :D
Took some doing to lever it out but there out alright !
Its made a huge difference to the sound as these tweeters are really very poor quality !
Cheers to everyone who helped
RIOT
Right I got the grills off....after snapping a pin in haf and then burrying it into my finger ! OUCH !
Trouble is now I can see the tweeter but I cant get it out :(
There are no screws holding it down just two plastic clips either side. If I flip the clips out I then cant get the tweeter out...
Ok bottom button does noting in cd mode unless you hold it down, then all it does it skip to the next track
I think it will work as a change album button in mp3 mode
In Radio mode minr changes the band and in cd mode im not sure. I think it changes albums with an mp3 cd though.
I dont have any cds to burn an mp3 cd too at the mo theyve all diaspeered so I cant be sure at all.
Ians youve lost me.... I didnt think the grills were removable.
Im not following the purpose of the pin. You just say stick it through a hole but not what to do with it. Is it to lever off the grill or unclip something.......
I cant see any screws to undo either :(
Frustrating as hell not...
My new speakers are coaxials they have tweeters built in to them.
The old tweeters are still wired to the renault wiring loom
All ive done is take out stock 13cm speakers, and put the 552is in ther place which means the old tweeters are still active and now so are the new ones
Cutting wires is an easy fix I suppose just need to find which ones to cut.
Where does the tweeter stem off from the main speaker cable ?
Let me guess...its a dash off job :(
Or is it possible to disable the tweeters on the 552is ?
Im almost certain that all cd changer controls on my headunit have to be done via the remote controls (infra-red) but thats just my headunit.....it only has 4 buttons on it volume*2 source and off.
My guess is that a head unit with buttons on the front for changing preset station i.e. 1 to 6...
Is there a quick fix way of disabling the dash tweeters in my 2002 dynamique ?
I installed some infinity 552is in the front today but now ive got 4 tweeters up front and its sounding very harsh even with treble turned all the way down :(
Its sounds quite good when I cover them up with my hands...
Right its in.... but I dont have an mp3 cd to hand to try it out with
I dont think the track names are going to work with my headunit though as when I named a CD I had about seven letters to enter and no more....
The only annoying thing so far is that to change discs in the changer I have to...
ooooh xbox hard drives and driving around
Dont play it on the move whatever you do !! The heads in the drive will be bouncing around all over the place scratching the platters !!
Yes you have all the connections which the autoleads convertor needs to function presuming one of the sets of phonos is an auxillery/ bus audio input
The changer comes with two five meter cables, one for the bus lead (round with two pins in it) and one for the audio (red and white phono plugs...
Yes mine is the autoleads one.
I dont think it will fit the tray due to its small proportions but if you drilled a few holes in it to match the mounting brackets supplied with the changer then yes you can re-use it.
You can either mount it horizontaly or vertically with the bracket supplied...
Cheers bud extremely helpful, its raining here at the mo so installations been put on hold until tomorrow :(
I realised my mate had a cd changer in his clio yesterday and took a look at his but his is a completely different changer and securing mechanism to yours, still a renault fitted one...
Im just after ideas on how to fix my multichanger in place.
My car didnt come with a multichanger so I cant see where Renault put theres. Anyone got pics ? I understand Renault put it on a tray under the passenger seat but all i have under there is a plastic cubby hole
The changer...
Just a question, how did you fit them to the existing wiring ?
Clipped the cables and soldered ?
I have got a brand new set of these to try out in the front of my clio and if these are cheap enough and im happy with the sound ill be replacing the rears too :)
lol I know its just my excuse to justify buying a nice shiny exhaust and get the bonus of a nice xorst note :D
On another note my car registraition number is X8RST get it ?... ..X0RST ;)
No....?!?........ ah well it was just a bonus my initials are RST :)
The two Robs ....
Does this twin pipe fit around the standard bumber or have you put a new bumper on ?
Im feeling like I need a bit more power, got beaten to 60 by a friggin Citroen C3 today !
Thats it exactly !
I used it with my old sony which started to drain my battery flat :(
Ripped that out and ive now got the renault one back in until saturday when I put all my new stuff in :D
Then it will be back in use again :)
You can fit a sony without the autoleads adapter but you...
No theres no need to remove the dash.
The only thing you need to remove is the hazard warning section of the dash to give you room to manouver the box of tricks on the autoleads cable
Theres room behind that section of the dash to pop the box into.
The amount of space for installing headunits...
Yes I have one on order
I guess you will be using it with a Sony Headunit so you would need the following cable made by autoleads and recommended by Sony.
Autoleads PC9-501
Its about £60 and gives full functionality to the clio remote display and stalk
Its not listed on the autoleads...
Reading a few old posts it was said that better stuff could be had for the money and seemed a mass opinion ...... your paying for the name
Even so I ordered an xplod cd player and xplod mp3 cd changer, I didnt want xplod speakers though, went for infinity ones instead :)
Isnt it general...
http://www.empiredirect.co.ukwww.empiredirect.co.uk seemed the best price without looking like a really amaturish website.
Price inc delivery was a few pennies over £200, something like £200.71p........
They have them in stock service is good, they call you to say when it should be...
The autoleads cable for converting everything fully i.e. the remote display and remote control is:
PC9-501
It is recommended by sony !
Converts all functions !
