Re: Anyone know what Renault charge for *just* a cambelt change, literally nothing el
Their fixed price servicing was more than that and not applicable to sports so it's more like £500-600. They wanted £400 just for my dci
He hasn't picked it up yet! Tomorrow I think. I'm surprised I didn't have more photos of it.
It's a seriously nice example though as it's had an absolute ton spent on it in the last year to make it mechanically perfect.
Mods list is
RS stamped lower inlet
Cup springs
16mm front spacers
15mm...
As above, tried to plug one of the DCIs in this morning and it cannot connect with the ABS. Checked the internal fuse and that's fine. Connects on the other DCIs fine :)
@AlexW Yep all sorted matey. Was a breeze with the new UCH and knowing how to do the injectors, took 5 minutes. Having a right pain in the A trying to tension the manual tensioner on the belt though.
Electrics are all working fine surprisingly bar the UCH problem but it wasn't corroded, just...
I've done 99% of what I'm going to do on the car now. It looks better in the photos as it's got a fair few dents and scratches but from a reliable work horse point of view it's exactly what I was after.
Few of the dents on the roof and terrible but impossible to fail sunroof fix.
Mud which...
Don't worry about what the book says. I've always used the closest wheel and the reinflated it after. Eazibleed takes hardly any air and only uses it for pushing force. High PSI = quick job ;)
Make sure you bleed in the correct order which is distance from the master cylinder so back left, back...
Yes sounds like the car never gets up to temp so runs rich all the time and hence your emissions fail. Could have contaminated the cat.
Do you have the print out, assume the HC is high.
I have 2 cup rear shocks, 3 years old you can have for the cost of postage if you want as I just want rid of...
Would have loved to try on the socks but even the socks had verrucas.
There will be more photos when it's 100% finished but I've had a couple of problems with the UCH so have been preoccupied a little.
Unfortunately there is still a mild leak in the car so I need to do a little more...
Mended mended thanks to the above man. His clip worked no problem!
Solid red light on the other ECU wouldn't go out. Tried my ecu kit on it and the car fires up no problem. New ECU kit on the way....again.
As said if not present it is not testable.
Had our clios pass 3 mots with them and no washers. It is only a requirement for a new vehicle to be registered and once it's been registered the "if it's there test it" rule
This is todays problem with v113 and v105 of reprog
AlexW Tuesday or Wednesday or the weekend I am free :). I got very very very moist today on my bike which was horrible.
There shouldn't be air in the system unless there is a leak somewhere. Could be on the fuel filter couplings to make sure they are on properly. I saw this on a car I test drove and it was causing the car to miss.
Is it actually causing a problem?
I am matey in the week but have no voice currently. Do you understand sign?
Stupid is exactly what I've been. Family keep saying, what are you going to do? If I knew I would have fixed it!! Knowledge from a higher being is needed, AKA you. I'll drop you a text when I'm alive again.
This is...
Thanks Mick, not sure how to do that, I'm scared of touching any button on this clip as I accidentally wiped my ecu on my other dci last night. Now it gets to 12% on the reprog and freezes. Using clip whilst ill and exhausted is just a terrible idea but there was no other time.
Today I cleaned...
This is just great. I bought a second hand UCH, ecu, decoder ring and key. Fitted it and all the locking functions are back working okay. The solid red immobiliser light is on.
Done a multiplex test on clip and that's okay.
What are the other tests I need to do on clip to track the fault...
