Has anyone else noticed theirs improving since getting the chip? Mine was apparently over fuelling as standard, so would the new ECU sort this out? Before, I was filling up nearly twice a week, I filled it up last Friday and Im just getting low now! Seems to drop like a rocket in the top end...

I think itll be alot closer than nearly a sec slower to 60 m8. They are very under rated cars. As Dogmaul says, they are a lot lighter and if its a newer VTS arent they 130bhp?

Is the Valver really quicker std m8? Pretty sure that the std 5 is low 7s and the Valver is mid to high 7s

Yes m8. Revs to about 8000rpm now. Even though it hasnt seemed to add any power, it really is much quicker than b4. Now it can pull 40 in 1st, 70 in 2nd, 100 in 3rd and so on..

Had my car RRd on Sat. Couldnt believe it, no increase in power at all!! The car is much faster than b4, the only difference it made was the torque curve was totally different to b4. Kicks in much lower down the rev range, and smoothly increases thru the revs Has anyone else had the ECU and...

10 weeks m8. When I took it in, I said it was a prob with the gearbox. They probably just wiggled the gearstick and left it at that! How are you enjoying yer Cup m8. What mileage are you on? Where abouts are you? ermm...think thats enough questions for now lol

Mine does the same m8. I originally thought it was was the gear box, but I now think its the clutch. When I put the clutch in but didnt change gear, it was as if I hadnt touched it and it was still in gear. Im going to leave another month or so, then Ill take it to renault and get them to sort it.

Maybe if LAD got there hands on the EVO, the clio would win std! ;)

Much better m8. All round improvment. From low down torque, thru the more obvious 5000rpm boost, right up to the 8000rpm. Not sure what it will actually get on the rr but Im not really bothered. I know its quicker and thats all that matters at the end of the day...cheaper than a superchip as well!

Getting mine done on Sat at Powerzone. Just fitted R-sport ECU so I want to see what it has done

Thought it was something to do with the gearbox at first but now I think its the clutch. When you go up to high revs, sometimes it sticks when you try to change gear, did a test and when I just put the clutch in, without changing gears, it acted like it was still fully in gear. Has anyone else...

I think the 1st gear clonk is common m8...mine does it as well.

Simple really. If you want more luxuries spend that bit extra and get a 172. If your not too bothered about posh seats and heat reflective windows then get the Cup. So you dont get ABS, there are plenty of fast 16 valves and the like which havent got it. Really is down to what you want m8
