Having some good interest in buying a gr8 example 172
It's only done 20,000 miles and is a year 2002. 1st owner was a 45year old women, who only used it back and fourth shopping and 2nd owner has only done 2,000 miles in the past 8month (of that 20k), so basicly cars in MINT condition...
hey, im 20, had 15month of drving exp as a named driver, with 3points code CD10... and the best quote i can get is £2250 on a 172... (3rd party, over 8months incl a 1years ncb at the end)
who else is simuler to me... what are you paying and who with!?? desperate to get it cheaper!!

I wouldn't want to go to cheap as I'm affraid the 172 will £uck up on me or just be a dog, so I want to make sure I get a good, well looked after example..
Get the mk3 1.2turbo Clio (100bhp), cheap insurance and but still nippy, especially since it's possible to remap it to 120bhp If you get bored and fancy abit more poke! Either that or look into the 1.5 desiel clio (106bhp) am sure you will also be able to remap that at a later date to around...
m8s got a mk3 clio 1.2 turbo (100bhp).. im assuming this is the same engine that is in the twingo gt... ? its a 1.2 turbo with 100bhp to... if so i guess the remap ktec do for the twingo gt would work on the clio 1.2 turbo giving it an extra 20bhp... 120bhp turbo clio sounds quite fun :) lol...
ok cool cool, well thanks you lot, especially "mini-valver" for all your advise. will be moding the car in the next couple of weeks, so will let use know how it went which ever i choose to do.
.. would maby focusing just on cams and inlet instead, would that be a better option? as a rough guess what kind of money are we talking for cams and inlet?
..but if they are to expensive then im assuming going for just the "cat-back system and a remap" would be the next best thing, acheiving...
ok what realistic bhp figure do you think can be touched with those mods (custom remap), not including the viper though..
..plus by loosing around 40kg, surely that will make give it more punch will it not?
im not exactly aiming for 130+bhp, tht will cost tooo much, just wana get into to mid 120s and loose weight and get the right chasis setup and i think that will give some good compitition to cars simuler to the 133RS etc etc

100% getting hubcentric, wud b daft not to in my eyes! lol.
eibech and h&r 20-25spacers seem double the price the price though?? ebay ones come cheap compared to them? is ther a reason for that?
r these the best value for money spacers around? and are they actually good quality? (20-25mm)
i have seen other spacers a rediculas amounts of money then these r dirt cheap... y is this?

ok thanks dude, last question! lol. the non-adjustable ones are the highsports arent they? what fixed sizes do they do? a drop of -40mm,-60mm?? i would be wanting the 60mm drop..
