Captain - a couple of reviews and some posts here. I thought it was very well behaved. I expect the torque steer people were experiencing was the cars tendancy to follow surface irregularities (as per any FWD car with big tyres) and maybe loss of traction on one wheel.

I had the chance to try my 172 out around Oulton Park yesterday. I had no intention of taking it on the track but I owed someone a favour and that turned out to be a passenger ride ....
Bear in mind that I hadnt prepped the car for the track and I was driving at around 80%, but my immediate...

Warranty - see the topic Dealer Stamp - Heeeeeelp! (or something like that) - shouldnt be a problem. You should end up with exactly the same warranty as a non-import car, minus the breakdown cover.
I took my import to the local dealer today for a couple of minor problems. They were not in the...
I did the same as greeper. Bill of Sale has been returned, along with handwritten note telling me that they will be in touch soon re: the 3 year warranty

Update after visit to dealer. Renault are aware of the problem but havent issued a software fix yet.
(For those in the IT world, this is exactly the opposite of the Microsoft system - they deny knowledge of ANY problems, but keep issuing fixes!)

UPDATE:
RM172 and ChavyBoy are right. If you have an import you do have to send these docs to Renault UK. I didnt have a dealer stamp in my book, so I just photocopied the rear cover, which has the Chassis Number on it.
I have just had the documents back from Renualt UK (approx. 4 days...

No problems starting it, but I do have something like the flat spot you describe.
I did make a post maybe a fortnight ago and several people said they had the same problem (basically the first bit of throttle did nothing, then it all comes in at once). It clears after a mile or so.
