oh no sorry not the bit that holds the spring in, the actual top mount its self like the bit you can see in the engine bay, so its a solid part with the nut incorporated, just need to get it off to put another on.
yep thats the one, was trying to get a clamp round the top mount but i havnt got anything big enough, only thing i can think of is going to a garage to to get that one off and put a new one on from euro car parts
Hi guys does anyone know any tips to get a rounded off top mount off at all? Was lowering my car and lowered all the other corners and this happened so...
Never thought I'd do this but, 40mm all round should do the trick, to many speed bumps round here for anything more, might have to take the splitter of for these
thanks a lot, yer i thought id totally knackered them and yes it is on full lock with the wheels to the curb :o thanks a lot, i'll see what its like when they're straight
I'm sure ive seen this problem on here before, only noticed the other yesterday but does anyone know what it is, spring or shock?, thanks a lot. This has no affect on steering and no strange noises.
Passenger Side
Drivers Side not as bad
Like a lot of things on my car, its a home made jobby, my mate paid £150 for a temp gauge. So I bought a reptile enclosure temp hooked it up to the engine with blue tac and made a surround of of cardboard and carbon wrap for about £3 haha
Door shuts -- Yer my bad haha but clean arches don't really appeal to me, for they 10 minutes they'd be clean in the countryside the effort doesn't doesn't counter it :)
So the sun came out on my day off so decided to get into every nook and cranny, waxed and Super Resin Machine Polished. Interior hoovered and suede bits and seats all scrubbed and cleaned, it's now a much nicer place to be :), I have a few debatable mods but it's my toy haha.
I had this problem, i didnt have a dimmer switch but the plug is still on the loom behind the little panel where the headlight adjustment rocker switch is. Ended up not being on properly so might be worth checking that or see if the dimmer switch is faulty (if you have one).
Being as you complimented my car haha :D, i had these for ages, really hard wearing and don't show the dirt too much >> These <<
Also if your unaware of how to check your wheel size - say your tyre says 195/50/R15 << its this number thats the inch of your wheel
Just a PH1 1.2 this mate, i also had to go down the black box route on my first year, it was around £1600, but came down to about £1400 after good driving discounts. I now pay about £770 with aviva with all mods declared.
glad it helped, not sure about the breather but if the oils at a high temp and the breather is a direct hole to the engine internals, might just bet that, just keep an eye on it. Also I know its hard not to, but dont thrash the beans out of it in 1st gear to get the noise, these little 1.2's...
If it its the D7F 1.2 8v engine all you have to do is take the air box straps off (push down on the pins and then push them towards the air box), push down on the black 180 degree pipe (big one) to detach from the throttle body, pull off the breather pipe and remove the whole old air box...
nice car, bet it cost ya bout £35 in petrol haha. I know what its like when ya want something though haha, i did an 2 hour trip for the door sill covers haha. just because they were £8
Definitely worth checking, i went to look at a ph2 clio, looked in very good condition and the buyer had said it was totally HPI clear, on the way to viewing i decided to check for myself, had actually been a CAT C which could mean anything, could have been a very nasty surprise.
