Yes mate sound like syncro when they did the recon they don't always change ever part in the box they only do what looks or needs doing so might have been ok that's why they only put a year on most boxes

What hammer are you using, should be a lump hammer I used a 3.1/2 llb one

If there's an engine or gearbox mount you haven't done I'd change that if there all new it might be the lower arm

Shouldn't need an air gun get some thing to take the weight of the lower arm so the bolt in level it its hole, then I use a metal spike and hit it like you'd hit a pedo

I would drive a car that has no mot they can only give you a £70 fine but if its booked in I'm sure that they wouldn't even do that
