Re: ESSEX Meet
Parts of Essex (Colchester/Clacton way) will be closer to you in Suffolk and Anglia but from say a Barking/Romford/Southend perspective Kent/London (and what is considered the South East) is a LOT closer.
Obviously two very different tastes mate as i loved the RB 200 i was pretty set on buying until used my nut!
RB/Black Speedlines/Cup Chassis/Recaros = Perfect 197/200 imo.
^Haha, really!?
To be honest mate as said in the past mine doesnt bother me that much as i either dont have the problem or its so minimal that i cant tell its there!
I doubt i'll ever get round/be botherd to sort a map out anyway.
No mate, not really!
I did think of a full system, IK and then map but the standards on the 197 are supposedly better value than any of the aftermarkets so it would only be a map if i get round to it!
Plus i like the noise as standard. ;)
The cup suspension is quite hard but it just makes the car feel likes its stuck to the road! There is also very little roll on cornering which is a nice touch too!
Couldnt reccomend it enough tbh.
;)
Mines only covered 7k so im hoping it gets better with the miles!
Had a good few blasts over the weekend an am rocking just over 29 mpg having done about 170 miles on this tank.
:clown:
They havnt dropped that much at all tbh!
When i bought my LY 182 at 2 years old i paid 10k for it (from a dealership) but the same 2 year old well spec'd/top conditioned 197 (mainly the R27's admitedly) with more milage than i bought the 182 on are priced at between 11 and 12.5k...
Haha i did think it could've been you mate but only see it at the last minute and couldnt make out whether it had speedlines or not!
Should probably add it was up near the Harvester heading toward the roundabout.
Depends what your after really mate!
I dont personally see much of contest between keeping the Trophy/getting a run around and getting a newer 197 or 200 as you have already stated you fancy a new car.

Makes sense at that price...
If i was in your shoes and was using my car everyday it would have been the 200 all day long but fact is i was/am in a different boat to you mate!
As for why buy a Clio for that much!? Perhaps a lowish milaged new/newish car with warrenty is wanted and a capable one at that!
For the money...
Haha, I have no idea what your on about with regards to slanging matches and daft comments made in here and a thread of your own as to my knowledge I only asked whether you were abit thick in this very thread as you couldn't grasp a simple question which was put to you three times in the end...
f**k sake! For the third time i was questioning your motives for flatly dismissing the fact that the RS 197 (mk 3 Clio if you need this simplifying abit further) is no better put together than a run of the mill mk 3 Clio! Nothing to do with a mk 2! I had already given my opinion on...
Haha are you abit thick!?
Go back and you'll see i have owned both RS's for a good period and give my indiction!
My comments were aimed at you flatly dismissing the fact the RS's are built differently to the standard mk3.
^It may be that then as the paint on my 182 was much better than the 197! Might be time to chop Mr Nimbus in for an LY R27!!!
Swings and roundabouts though in all honesty! I know when i had my LY i was forever worried about it getting bashed or slashed for the fact it would be an effin...
It's not avaiable now as an option so that's perhaps the real reason as to why they couldn't supply you paint!
It's silver at the end of the day and IMO buyers wouldve been mad to pay a premium for it as nice as it may well be! It's usually the more fancy colours that they can command a higher...
