^I didnt say i dont rate limited runs! lol
I just dont like higher milaged, older cars (ones that still cost more for a dealership car) hence why i went for a very late 197 thats basically an R27 minus decals and a 1-500 plaque!
Exactly!
Also you wont find many well spec'd 200's (your FF, Recaro'd up, cup chassie'd bad boys) with hardly any miles for that money either! Try closer to 16k i reckon! Theres a bare spec'd FF second hand one just gone on PH today in a not so desirable colour at over 15k!
Unless you take...
Good-Good! Will stop worrying now!
My 182 always sat slap bang in the middle on the temp guage so i guess i just expected the 197 to be no different!
I shall cross off my planned trip to Renault! lol
I would never take the car anywhere near it prior to 15/20 minutes on the road anyway but as its been coming on at 7k well after that i wondered whether the car had been getting fully warmed as the temp needles a bit tempramental and sits just before the middle most of the time (even after my 45...
Depends what you want!
Having come from a 182 (which i absolutely loved for 4 years) to a spec'd up 197 it is simply the better car in all areas bar fuel consumption which is shocking BUT tbh i do really need it to be great due to my personal circumstances! Having driven a 200, this is only...
£3600? Fuckaduck!
How can they warrant that price when they are an £800 option!?
If it were £1500 they were asking i could see that they have a good point but more than treble the option cost is robbery imo!
The silence probably means we have a MK3 hater in the house! ;)
Dont quote me but im sure when i checked dimensions (for garage purposes) they were slightly wider than the Vee!
I would say its an awesome purchase too but i think i will be able to give a better review in a few months once...
Is bloody FAT mate!
Haha - In what way does it look crap?
If its the actual car it looks far more modern than the 1*2 but if were talking colour i didnt want another in your face on again! 4 years of LY was enough to consider that done!
^I did mate as thats what it was on the 182 but it didnt reset for some reason! I will have another go later!
Where in Essex are you from?
I hadnt seen any 197's where i am but yesterday i saw an RB with Black Speedlines and a Nimnbus today with the anth rims! Sods law i will be seeing...
^tbh mate it cant be as bad as i first thought!
The average says 24.4 (i dont know how/if you can reset this like you could on the 182?) but i have covered around 80 miles for just over a 1/4 (i put £20 of v power in yesterday giving me half a tank)!
That must be 30 mpg at least and with...
Thanks again for the comments chaps!
Ta mate!
First impressions - It looks a better car and is much more solidly built - It holds the road nicely with barely no body roll on the bendy bits and going over bumps it doesnt make you feel like your a jack in the box a such - The noise is also...
Haha - There was a CD in there mate which after a little way down the road got banished to the CD case! Shocking taste that Steve! ;)
I will send it back to you Monday!
I dont like you much tbh!
Thanks for the comments chaps!
The Xenons were a downer but not one worth passing up the car for imo!
I did notice the difference when coming through the Darford tunnel this morning though - I really did take the light they give off for granted!
Cheers mate!
It come with a tailored cover but to be honest i wont use the car enough to warrant it i dont think!
Are they really that bad for ware even if your careful?
Ahhhh! My friend! You liked and owned Albi though! ;)
We obviously have very contratsing tastes but if we all liked the same the world would be a very boring place as they say!
Its funny mate! The day you and Royston were raving about it i took a litte trek down to Renault to see what it was about and even in standard trim the colour looked ace!
I probably still would've preferd RB or GW to tell you the truth but Nimbus is a top colour and the age, milage and spec...
After selling my LY 182 a few weeks back i wasnt long on the hunt before a very nice chap called Steve Murr come knocking about a 197!
Because of the age, milage and spec (exactly what i wanted) i was all to glad to take him up on the car so long as it was as mint as he said it was which...
