Having owned old and new performance Clios it's not debateable for me as the 182 was streets ahead! The only thing that it wasn't streets ahead in was value for money! The mk1 cost ne 3.5k to start with (plus 1.5 k for a 2.0 transplant) the 182 cost me double.

I owned a good one for two years! Great car for the pounds paid, reliable! Loved it! BUT fact remains, times change and cars progress like everything else making the newer breeds better each time.

I sold my LY on 30k and i would say it was probably the strongest 1*2 you wouldve found for all its sins of being hardely used! The gearbox was as good as new, the interior was as new and there was no rattles what so ever! Low milage isnt everything as you say but it does help in most cases...

Looks ace but i still prefer them without the spoiler personally! I see you say the seats are showing signs of ware! What sort of milage have you done mate?

I ended mine after four years on Saturday too but i can only say good things about its run with me! Fast, fun, strong (no rattles or gearbox issues after 6 years on the road) and reliable for what is really a cheap car! No complaints here at all!

^Its a tough one really Fletch but as you seem to like LY too (if your posts are anything to go by on here) and as already stated it is a fair bit stronger than standard 1*2's running about on the road (in many areas) its not a totally odd choice imo as it is in some way a progression at least...

WOW - That ones pretty special! For a good 5/6 months of the year we see good sunshine down here so i shouldnt think Nimbus would be that much of a problem for getting the best out of one looks wise.

Couple of quick questions! If a car states it has the 'cup pack' does that mean it comes with the chassis or just the brembos and anth wheels? Also do all FF cars come with folding mirrors or was that an option also? Cheers Jay

LOVE the car but not so much the wheels! Personally im a lover of the standards but for people that arnt i cant help but think the Satin Black Speedlines at £175.00 (as an option if you bought the car new) would've been money well spent! Do the 18's hinder performance much/alter the ride...
