Ouch!!! New gear box! My brother believes it's the clutch bearing as the whirring noise gets louder in gear as he accelerates and quieter as the car slows down. Cheapest quote so far is £700.

Front bumper requires the wings but if you have the whole kit it'll be a straight swap.

My bro's car is making a strange noise when in gear. As soon as the clutch is engaged the noise disappears. He says it's like "A whirring noise that gets louder as I accelerate". If it is the clutch how much would it cost for a new one or just for fitting if he got the parts? Any ideas...

Mine ended up like this the 2nd time I done it.. was getting stuck on the back of the airbag.

With mine if you rev it a tiny bit it stops. Sometimes it comes back other times it doesn't.

I notice this one mine sometimes when sitting at lights. Sounds like it's coming from passenger footwell :s
