I picked my 172 up for £3,950. It's a Y reg so one of the first off the line but only 52,000 miles which is a hell of a lot better than the 4k you'd be spending on a 60k+ 172. The only thing which I have discovered that needs changing are the front brakes and pads.

Black and red is the future..! Slam it and colourcode and you're onto a winner :)

I think the 182 alloys in white would look mint, no need for new rims! As far as I'm aware, no one has 182 alloys in white?

I think your best bet (if you really do want to get rid of the coilovers) for a low car is 40mil on Apex springs. As far as I'm aware, the only springs that will lower the car more are only available for the 1.2 - 1.6 range. GAZ coiovers are renound for the their firmness, they're a track...
