I'm in the process of selling mine having fitted a Simota but a question has come up about fitting it to a PH1. What's needed (if anything) to make the transition so that I can let the potential buyer know?

Re: Wired smell ?? If I were you though buddy I'd get it checked out at a garage. Don't worry about taking it to Renault. A simple emissions test (as done during an MOT) should be able to tell you if it's your CAT that has gone :)

You should see a slightly deeper sound with a new panel filter, yes. Before I fitted my Simota (before I knew I was going to buy one) I gave my standard one a clean and cleared out the airbox. Just that alone I thought improved things.

You should forget about the Pipecross right now! I've heard nothing but bad things about these. Burp's comment about relocating the battery and ECU is a valid one but if you're after a quick and easy solution then you can't really go wrong with a panel filter. ITG seem to be a popular choice but...

That's a real shame mate :( This 206 sounds rather tempting but have you driven it? I learned to drive in one all those years ago and even then I knew it was poor! I ended up finishing my lessons and doing my test in my Punto!
