Will a Miltek 182 decat fit a standard 172 exhaust!? One is up for sale in the For Sale section at the moment for a very good price and it's got me thinking on a spur of the moment thing. Not even really considering exhaust mods at the moment but I thought I'd check :)
This is a cut and paste from a quote I had a lovely lady at my local dealership email me, for just front pads and discs...
1.3 hours labour (£95.00+vat per hour)
1 X 77 01 207 829 - discs £91.07+vat
4X 77 03 004 176 - bolts £1.76+vat (each)
1X 77 01 209 380 - pads £42.41+vat
Total...
Yawn. People forget that VERY rarely does a 182 actually produce 182hp. The same can be said for the 172. There are so many factors to take into effect (the biggest of these being the driver) who gives a f**k!? I GUARANTEE that the majority of those who say their 182 is better would fall...
Get going with that search button, there are threads on here full of insurance quotes and the like :) Just enjoy the car you have and learn all you can from the chaps and chapets on this forum!
I'm looking at changing the front lower grille to one that has had a pre-cut hole and trumpet, ready for a CAF. How the hell do I remove said grille!? To be fair I've not yet given it a propper look but it would be nice to do it armed with some info :)
You're tempted because they're cool! Seriously. The 172/182s are 'nice cars' but I wouldn't call them cool. The MK1 16V and Williams just have something about them that (IMO) no other little hot hatch does.
Whilst I prefer the 172 wheels personally, they don't work for me in orange. I think it's the way that the spokes of the OZs break up the colour. GET IT DONE!
