Sorry I was mistaken about the 4th in the dry. Not a chance, only if the road is greasy. But as has been said b4 it might be a mount or something that is causing it. Sounds like a knock but similar to when the front wheels lose traction.
I've just said above that the road was wet at the time. You better get running then! ;)
Im just wondering whether this is linked to the steering wheel wobble I get at exactly 70mph, and I've been to 3 tyre places that say my wheels are perfectly balanced! :(
Does anyone then get what feels like wheelspin going into 4th when the road is wet or damp? From recollection it only happens in 4th when the road is greasy or very wet, and only with aggressive shifting.
^^ Funny people you are.... ;) I've checked the pressures and they were at 34 psi on the front, so ive lowered the pressures to 30psi which seems to have helped a bit but traction is still a prob. The handling seems to have suffered though do the softer sidewalls.Im going to try fitting 205's on...
I dont know if he is on here but I saw a 182 cup right behind me on Shields Road at kinning park last night. I think the reg plate was gl something. It looked like "glasgow". Gave the guy a wave as he pulled past me.
Good to see another renaultsport owner!

Ive had mine for nearly 3 years, done almost 36k miles and Ive just had to change the rear tyres! Im on the 3rd set of fronts though. New oil seals and rear disks....
^^ good price considering all the work thats gone into it and the level of tune the engine is running. You should take the engine out of it though matt and put it in a s1 elise or something. Would be rapid on the 1/4 mile. Late 10's early 11's Id think.
I would just do what matt did and stick a tt engine in a clio instead of the megane engine. Yeah it may not be from the same manufacturer as your car, but it will run much more power and wont leave its pistons lying all over the road when you up the boost.. ;) Might be cheaper too as its a more...
