Hey guys just to let you know that my new tyres just arrived from mytyres 2 days early! Got them for £72 each with cliosport discount. Kwik fit were wanting £130 each for the same tyre!! Took it along to themselves to get them to fit it and they wouldnt saying that they cant cover any tyres but...

I've got an alpine h/u which I fitted myself and I've got the ipod in the glovebox which keeps it out of view. Major improvement over the standard h/u even with the original speakers still in!

I was only £1000 but im 25 with 7 years ncb. :rasp:

My tyres should be with me on thurs. When you phone them see if they will give you some extra sort of discount as you are ordering a full set of four from them. 5%+ would be nice. I got 3% i think with the cliosport discount.

Unless there is too much wear on the tyre like I had or the nail is 2 inches or less from the edge of the tread. Then its new tyre time! Expensive!

OOoh just saw a cheaper v6 255 with lower mileage...

The best 17inch tyres are 16's ;) Exaltos i think are supposed to be the best all round tyre.

lol ;) The tyres might just not be as grippy a compound as the last set I had. I.e different batch.

Well if it isnt wheelspin it might be engine or gearbox mounts, but it doesnt happen every time, only when you shift hard and are aggressive with the clutch. And as for the 300bhp comment I might just have a healthy cup! ;) lol

Well unfortunately I'll prob have the keep the 195's on the front as Ive only done 1,000 miles on them and I dont fancy having the narrower tyres on the back. But I'll let you know what theyre like.

One thing that you might not have thought about..... How much will the rear tyres be? Are they not 20 inch?? They are the driving wheels and you will go though them quite quickly at £350 each every time. I think the 350Z looks a bit plainer but it would still be my choice as its the best all...

Well if you shift hard theres a knock which sounds like the tyres have lost traction. Im talking about going from the red line in 3rd, hard into 4th.

Ive got a 172 cup and I find its fast but its let down by wheelspin in 1st-3rd gears when driving hard in the dry. I even get a chirp in 4th as I change up off the limiter in the dry! Ive ordered 205's to replace the 195's which should help, but what other things can I do? Im running 32 psi...

Ive just ordered two new pe2 exaltos in 205/45 to replace the 195's... I need more traction!! ;) But I think its quite a good upgrade.

I think he means the colour, but I'd have a v in pink if somone gave me it. ;) Just cos it looks stunning IMO.

I dont really mind so much on the colour. True, blue is more common, but it means that you pay less for it initially, but I love the yellow and the black is quite nice too.... ;) A guy near me had a blue 255 like the one in the pic but wrote it off after a month or so, so you have to be careful...

The green one has gone now.... I have the following options.... Used v6 255 at similar or lower price than the one above.... Used 111r which Ive seen for £17K with relatively low mileage... (Not very practical everyday..) (See this thread)...
