I've always been brought up on keyboards for playing games (spectrums, Amstrads, Amigas, PC) so K&M is second nature to me. I've always been a PC Gamer and spent god knows how much money over the years on keeping my PC updated, but that was part of the enjoyment as well, unwrapping a brand new...
Good thing with Wireless N is that it can also operate in the 5GHz which is far less crowded than limited 13 Channels of 2.4Ghz.
So if you're in a area with lots of AP's everywhere that can cause interference it's a good thing.
If you are going to have other devices on your network that can...
Hi Gabi
This will be part of my job role, I've been told to look into, I currently do stuff the old fashioned way -> audit a site, recommendations, install the infrastructure and then support the contract.
Doing hosted may put me out of a job so who knows!
I'm not a sales person by a long...
Any recommendations? I'm looking at reselling the solutions.
Exchange etc all the way to customers just having dumb terminals.
I feel the market is shifting at some pace towards this for small/medium businesses instead of the traditional on site setup and support.
Anyone host...
Can a wireless client ping the 2820 on 192.168.10.1?
Can the wireless client ping 212.58.246.94?
If so, you may have a DNS issue. Make sure the AP-700 has the DNS set to 192.168.10.1 and is giving out this DNS to the wireless clients.
Can you do a ipconfig /all on a wireless client and post...
I don't think the AP-700 supports layer 2 isolation.
I would set up your network up this way:
Internet ----> WAN Port on 2820 ----> Lan Port1 on 2820 ----> Switch with SBS on (SBS Running DHCP, DHCP disabled on 2820)
LAN Port2 on 2820 ----> connected directly AP700 ----> AP700 enable DHCP...
I went into Argos on Saturday and they had one logitech GT coming in stock on Sunday so reserved it and picked it up Sunday. It's a nice wheel I'm impressed with it.
I look after 20+ Domains, 30+ Servers, all network components including IP based comms (by my self). Plus I do site audits, network design and do full network installs including cabling, cabinets, servers, switches, routers, firewalls, PCs and PBX phones systems.
I take it your cant change the order with the web interface GUI?
Seems to be allowing it in now, but still cant establish a connection:
Dec 3 16:12:18 kernel allow in eth0 48 tcp 20 114 myip.myip.myip.myip 192.168.1.26 7485 3389 syn (PeteRemote2)
Dec 3 16:12:12 kernel allow in eth0 52...
Yeah i'm not a fan of them to be honest!
It's just a simple port redirection from external to an internal PC (customer RDP to a internal machine) its working on three machines but not on this one.
a working policy - users RDP's to 111.111.111.111:5020

yeah m8, sorry been on customers site nearly every day, I had a certificate problem on the 2008r2 box and just not had the time to sort that out. I've had a odd bug with RDP Client before on some windows 7 machines that would hang on "Initialising Remote Connection" where I had to disable the...
