Yeah I agree DK for most software these days from big manufactures but for SBS2008 it's very important to have. Dell always ship the sealed DVD style case of SBS2008 even if they preinstall it.
Is there anyway to check a key is a technet or MSDN one?
They have a receipt for the supply of 1 hp server and 1 hp SBS2008 from the IT Company and the guy who installed it owns the IT Company. In essense they have definately paid for the software.
I need to be sure of the facts before I can say if it's illegal. Might have to get Microsoft involved.
We've recently taken on a new customer for IT Support as their previous support was abit crap tbh.
Anyway they just had a new HP Server installed with SBS2008 from the previous mickey mouse Company. Upon my audit of the site I noticed the SBS2008 disc missing! which seem strange as this is...
I installed two new Dell Poweredge servers last week for 30 users and 30 IP Phones. Setup DHCP all nice with reservations etc. However 1 phone kept getting an IP conflict! 192.168.0.120/24 I disconnected the phone and pinged the 192.168.0.120 and got a response!! God knows what device this was...
Doing a new server install for a customer next week and they've asked for some touchscreen pc's to be installed aswell for some of their clients (it's a charity). Anyone recommend any? Need to run Windows 7 Professional.
You can get many third party appliances that just sit between your ISDN lines and PBX that can record all calls going in and out, I've installed a few.
It is Windows 2008R2 64bit, The server hasn't got a issue as it created the GPT partition it's just the site it's going to has a few XP 32bit machines. I'll setup a test lab anyway before I take it to site.
XP32 can't see GPT Partitions is the problem - I'm just hoping that over a network...

Re: [PC/ Consoles] Crysis 2
+1
NG Consoles have been out awhile now and I reckon we are starting to hit the limit on what they can do. The PC will continual to evolve and will really start to show the NG Consoles their age.
When are the next consoles due out? A rather long time I...
I'm always learning new stuff, reading blogs/forums/tecnet etc. I also try and get evaluation equipment in to learn new technology and create new solutions.
also s**t and learn ftw.
Gotta agree with Pinko 100%, it is annoying modern products don't last as long as old school stuff but to be honest todays technology moves so fast and operate at such high temps it's hard to make something without testing it over a long duration you'll soon be out of date.
So far I've been unimpressed with DICE/EA/ATI PC version still feels like beta. Still over 50 major bugs need sorting out. Dam console port - roll on BF3.
I always use APC for my server installs, however our telecoms guys use Powerware for the PBX's.
