Yep ur right this is one of the parts that causes the most engine failures and considering the parts are only 50-60 quid it would be worth changing the internals of it every 6 months so ur not landed with a hefty engine build.
When i was speakin to ollie at RCM he was saying that they have...
I wouldnt want one with a rebuild if you knew how subaru REALLY rebuild them and it aint pretty!! My lovely friend at Roger Clark showed me few of SUBARU so called new build bottom ends!!
Great cars and look awesome, best one ever imo but engines in them are made from chocolate and a rebuild aint cheap and i would bet that it will let go within 12 months of owning it. I know 4 people who have owned them and between them they 10 bottom ends!!! Typical subaru open deck cheap money...
Not that im aware mate. Think they do a new loom for it but ud have to check.
No just selling car etc. Fancy a change of car. No idea what yet.
Ive got no vids mate sorry
If u do the omex kit u dont cut anything.
My 182 never had anything cut.
Im selling my bodies now tho but not cos of unreliability but cos i fancy a change.
Ive not got vids sorry :(
It will be exactly same reliability as it is now really.
It may rev harder but all clios can happily rev over the factory limit with no probs at all.
On the 197 ITB kit i dont think the rev limit is raised and even it is is its only a very small amount.
At the end of the day its just allowing...
Massively thins the oil down and could do damage. Ive seen it happen on an impreza when i was a mechanic.
Just get the car red hot and drop the oil out. No need to do it imo. Just get the car hot
dont blame them really. They are rare, an excellent car to drive out of the box (the best 182) and i think the cars value could be held up if people stopped selling them for only a bit more than a normal 182
i still think they should hold their money like that because of their rarity.
Too many people selling them too cheap imo!!
Theres no reason at all why all the ones for sale shud add 500- 1000 to the price they are advertised for.
Currently they are only just a tad more expensive than a fully...
Thats expensive!!!! I still think trophys should be higher priced generally but that is alot higher priced than most for sale and mileage isnt low enough for it to be that price
U took the words outta my mouth.
5-10bhp will get u 2- 3car lengths in a straight line where as good brakes will let u brake 5+ car lengths later, give u more confidence and will work for longer with ALOT less fade!
Think about it that way
Im going to buy a brand new alternator anyway tbh as the garage i used to work at can get me anyone i want trade and the company that supplys them will have my 182 one in as exchange even if i dont have a clio one :)
because u need the cup setup for the omex stuff if thats what i go for and i want to fit the big panel on my bodies in the time being. and i also like the idea of it all being original equipment.
im not sure which supercharger kit to go for yet cos i like the omex management
i dont want the volvo stuff cos i may do the supercharger in the not so distant future and thats no good for that!
I dont want to keep hasslin you about the volvo either cos i know ill nedd u to look at it to check its the right parts on the right car
