Probably had something to do with the 3 foot long flames hanging out the back of it everytime i backed off. That car sounded epic tho!! Even a germany guy at the ring came and shook my hand after a lap as i went round the outside of him driving a GT3 and said nice driving lol.
I can vouch for it too cos krispwee is my bro and i cudnt believe it wen i saw that mclaren F1 in banbury. horrid colour but then none of them were in a particulary nice colour apart from GTR orange one but still Looked epic!! Yeah was gutted we never got to go in one!!
There absolutely fine. Ive had 2 sets in the past on a 300hp impreza and had them on there for 60k and never an issues.
If they were dodgy they wouldnt pass an tests etc to be allowed to be sold for road use. Yes there light too.
However if u dont actually need the features then i wouldnt waste your money as they tend to be unreliable and go off on a regular basis unless setup correctly. There too complex for their own good if im honest.
I fit them as part of my job and would almost always fit a Sigma S30 alarm instead...
Why worry about it then? Renault will have spent a fortune getting it right and if u know there is going to be no gain then spend your time doing something else like drving it! :)
Cos it just wont. U may get a hp max for all the amount of work thats involved. Just leave it as it is. Theres alot to be said for a standard airbox etc that renault have spent an absolute fortune designing.
All im saying imo is that i wouldnt waste your time for the gain it will actually give you.
Funny u shud say that. My bro really wants one! Hes got a 172 at mo but like me loves the RB 182. I spent 6 hours cleaning mine on sunday. Clayed it and everything. But i guessed u prob noticed it looked clean lol
yeh all turbo cars have a tiny bit tbh. My megane has a tiny bit but its alot more lively form 30 than say a 182. Its not much quicker than a 182 but theres always alot more power on tap as u get with the mini due to much more low down torque. Once u get the 182 on the boil theres not much in it...
It was me driving and wsnt from a standstill which is where the mini comes good cos its got more mid range than the clio. I only just stayed ahead of it!
And yes i do know how to drive lol. and it was dry so no need to worry bout getting power down on R888's! From a standstill racing is boring...
its quite quick now. Before the map in standard trim its not really any quicker than a 182 but wen u have it mapped and gain 30+hp and 55lbft torque it makes a huge difference. I want stage 2 now.

My mates just bought a 2.2 version with one owner from new, full history, excellent condition and only paid 1200 quid for it!! Bargain I thought as a cheap run about so he doesnt have to use his SL55 amg everyday. Bit steep on fuel! its done 96k but has an epic history with it
yeh but since whens 0-60 meant anything at all! After that is where its at. and youll find the mini will pull away due to torque. I know ive been there and seen it! Only just kept ahead with no interior and bodies and cams!!!
