Im thinking exactly the same! Thats exactly where they blow coilovers into the weeds is on the road. Fabulous compromise between stiffness and ride comfort.
Better than any coilover. On track u can achieve more with a coilover but the trophy dampers are fabulous on the road!
U need to drive...
No really just take ur time cutting plastic away and then its easy and will be massively better than 5" speakers as u have almost twice the cone area with a 6.5" :)
I agree the 197/ 200 is better. Thats cos the MK3 has a much better chassis however the trophy is by far the best MK2 and a fantastic drive!! U ask the guys at EVO mag :)
Remove door card, cut all original plastic mould away on back of door card where the original speaker screws to. Then mount an 18mm mdf ring around the hole in the metal work on the door itself and screw the speaker to that. Job done.
Just make sure u use loads of sound deadening as it is the...

Since october curtis has only sold 2 kits using the new damper rates etc and using softer springs.
I can assure you that these will...
i would have to price it up tbh.
however using fibreglass to make the subbox is not a great idea as it isnt really solid enough(i know someone will say it is but anyway) and will crack over time.
We would make an mdf box that fits inside the wheel well. this may mean that the boot floor may...
the big black impact bar that runs across the front of the car has a separate part to it which cant be seen in pic that needs welding onto that big front impact part. The bumper rests on it and keeps the bumper level
yeh but the reno stuff is ALOT less complex!! The body of the shocks will be very cheap to make on the reno stuff as they are buying MILLIONS of sets and they are a very basic macpherson strut design! The design and shock body will probably be very very similar throughout the whole range of...
id possibly go with that! Im pretty confident taking everything into consideration etc that the standard 182/cup setup etc will be far superior to these coilovers
