Could very well be the tin hs under the car if not. Id say either alternator loose or krackered pulley put a long handle screw driver on alternator and to your ear try and pin point the vibration. I had this heatshield like rattle turned out to be the above.
When I was a lad clio 16v's were far to expensive to buy 7-10k cliosports didnt even exist! remember when a female teacher at my school won a brand new williams1 in a competition! Lucky for me 5gt's were every where and every college boys dream a 1.4 and 500-900 to insure with 1 years no claims...
Imo they are all driven hard at some point this is what they are built for? Id factor a standard exhaust into the buying price if fitted with a loud one (£300 fitted).
M8 owned a diablo six brand new on a T ! Slicked the tyres and could do reverse piroets (1arm and and head out window!) + lift of oversteer handbrakes in 1st on limiter truly amazing to watch. Tbh iv never seen anything like it in a clio other than ragganotti, he would have been impresed!
Check wheels are straight also ph1's suffer from easily buckled wheels makes them drive horrible especially at the rear. My guess would be that check weights and get local tyre place to spin alloys without tyres proberly like egg's!
