Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
I just had a look for a shock for you, shockingly I don't have any. Not even fucked ones.
I hadn't, until you said that.
Its all different to mine, might have to look into replacing mine with the same type as mines s**t.
Picked up some bits yesterday cheaply.
New alternator pulley for my flamer as the old dampened one died, new fuel filter for the new black one, and a number...
As long as its not done thousands of miles, and its all in good condition, I'd poss keep the old Aux belt kit.
PAS fluid needs to be drained obviously, and bleed correctly once finished. No need to disconnect any A/C lines.
TBH I wasn't sure if you have to remove the A/C pump, I know I did...
If the aux belt kit hasn't been done in a while, Replace it, its only £56 from Renault Wolverhampton on here.
Follow the aux belt guide, plus remove alternator, brackets, Poss aircon pump, before getting to the PAS pump.
Dextron 2 fluid required.
Best to fit a new part you know is perfect...
Even standard fitted EPAS (As per my DCi) with sport kit, lowered, solid top mounts and decent tyres, feels lovely. I think sometimes I'd like to back off the assistance to try and feel a bit more, but I like it.
I would really like to drive a Clio with No PAS, I've driven a fair few cars that...
Xenons, more than likely one went, followed by the other. Worth checking fuses, but Its probably ballast/bulb/ignitor, No easy way to prove which it is.
Headlight washer, as above, replace jet, or fit one way valves (Personally I'd probably do the valves)
Coolant temp could be the thermostat...
Its bloody annoying you can't get AD08's in 195/45/16, Else I'd have a pair.
You can get them in 205/45/16, which is the tyre size of 182's. Will rub a bit if lowered/spaced though.
Otherwise theres plenty of choice depending on how sticky you actually want.
Bought a new Gazebo this morning, a pop up, so I can use it more.
Then used it to work on this, Its my mates. Changed fork seals, fitted new screen, tightend chain (and lubed) plus some other small bits.
Rode it around the block, the want to buy a new motorbike is once again strong. Need to...
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
I fitted new fuel lines too, but then I didn't want to risk it.
You want it super cheap so cleaning them will probably work, I'd want to give them a proper good flushing, brake cleaner would be a good shout, airline etc.
Devote an entire day the kangoo...
Its happend a lot recently lol
I know!
Indeed, It was lovely.
I hadn't done anything, bar help Levitt with his aerial, was nice to spend all day doing nothing.
I replied, eventually lol.
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Fuel lines are quite hard to clean if you do them too, which I suggest you do. Pull apart the new pump before fitting it too, make sure thats not fucked.
Depending how much another tank is, I'd be tempted to do that.
I've been through all this with my red...

Pics....
I truely miss the looks of my car here, although I do think it looks even cooler now.
Do it, it'll look even better with yours having wide track.
Re: DCI 65 pov spec commuter OEM+
Just one or two more DCi's and I'll be out-DCi'ing you.
I think 172 wheels will look awesome. I really liked mine like that before it had sport kit etc. I'll dig out a pic when I get home.
Good question. Been months since I've done it.
I'd suggest removing that entire loom, noting which is left, etc, then swap them over. Pins come out by means of a very small tag, its hard to see.
4pin Multi plug, not that hard to take that whole loom that goes to the back. Just make sure you swap the correct pins, and don't get confused. Not that hard, just don't rush it.
Just MOT'ed it the other day, got a few bits left to do, then it'll be up for sale. Need to get cracking with it but some other cars need to be done first. I keep slowing it down, see below lol.
This morning, went down to Southampton to buy this little beast.
Bonnet's popped.
Its pretty...
Hello!
I had this issue. Pluging them in the wrong way round will cause issues, ABS unit will end up pulsing the wrong brake, not ideal!
What I did, was plug in the sensors at the back, then swap the pins round at the plug near the subframe at the front. Meant I can keep Sport ABS sensors...
Few little bits to update here.
Came home yesterday to find my drivers wing mirror hanging off, Had parked the car on the road as my driveway was full of Clios etc.
Luckily, quick call to dmallett had me sorted, even inc bacon! Good as new.
Much lols were had.
On the way home, Car...
