If it was that easy, I'd have done it by now.
Don't you dare!
This was for Ventura's misses, so hardly something you'd want to risk, and moreso due to how much other money needs spending on the car (Subframe, Dephaser, funk knows what else!). I'm going to price up repairing it, Properly...
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
I think I have a full ph2 loom to steal from.
I plan to get it spot on.
Don't de-EGR unless it's faulty, with a bit of ragging sometimes they clear nicely and don't cause issues.
Mine changed once it was decatted, but that was with no backbox. With backbox, as Grazo said it's not noticeable at all.

Lmfao.
Dan loves getting a pounding from both sides...
Is that taking it too far?
Glad it got to you in time.
I've never even tried to do it without removing the driveshaft, I like making things easier.
I noticed a loss of turbo lag, and as my RR results show, more power and torque low down.
I wonder how loud yours is vs mine.
Get it remapped!

Still don't believe you.
I realised I never replied about dash. I don't want the dash in to do it, it'll be easier with it out. You need to work out when you want to do it!!!!
Looked like a fun day, and our...
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
Personally I would have fitted a genuine bearing, with the spacers and the use it gets, I'd want the best, which is why I run genuine bearings on my car, as I had non-genuine bearings fail extreamly quickly.
It is odd for it to break in such way, but not unheard of. OP said it cranks.
You'll really struggle to hear a fuel pump on a modern car, Plus, I'd imagine on that, it'll only pump when cranking. Furthermore, the factory alarm and immobiliser won't just stop the fuel pump, it'll do far worse...
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
I feel like swearing at you, as you've just sworn, how dare he keep the interior Ph1, its horrible!
Dan is just being a numpty, guarenteed. If I get my hands on it, I'll magic touch it and fix it.
Being four years old, if its been serviced with accordance with Audi's guidelines, there's a reasonable chance of a goodwill gesture of sorts. Either a full job, or least part payment.
Oddly, this sounds sort of similar to a Audi A4 Cab (1.8 20V Turbo) my mates garage has in atm. It was happily driving when suddenly cut out with no compression. Stripping it revealed 8 bent exhaust valves, no bent inlets, extreamly odd considering the timing belt is fine, and that runs the...

They're from a cup, most likely to fit lol.
I'm half tempted to just come fix it for you, still struggling on the black DCi's mileage.
I want to know the power now too! Dephaser didn't rattle, and timing was bloody close.
Glad you're happy with the car Barry, We'll have to get some decent pics of it now its fully spaced.
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
Just leave pre-tensioners unplugged. You're not pulling the seatbelt with the holder held in the correct angle. Bolt it up and it'll pull no problem.
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
I might have those bits, I'll have a look at some point, hella busy atm though!
It won't be the stalk, or the triggering of it or anything. As it has to power it in one direction only, it'll be the little bit inside the pump that isn't moving freely.
Thats is the only way I can see it.
With the dreaded fuel pump & injector failure, you're talking a fair whack to fix it properly, else you may end up going round in circles with the same issue over and over.
Fuel pump is circa £400, injectors the same again, and you'd need to be 100% postitive the fuel tank and lines etc hasn't...
I'd check all the earths, everywhere (clean them up), followed by engine bay fusebox for corrosion, followed by the relays next to the UCH.
Roughly. Hard to just tell you exactly what to do though.
Progress is good, have been following since you posted up, looking good.
Ref the key, The alarm picks up a signal from the factory locking, so thus it wasn't that locking it.
