The speedo in my MK1 172 has decided to stop working and stays on 0. Occasionally it springs back to life but not usually for long. Could this be a dodgy connection or something more serious? Do you think it is a renault job?

Cheers mate thats a big help. Do you need to refit the bearing you take off the old shock at the front to the H&Rs then. I cant get the picture to load unfortunately but I am sure I will work it out!

I am. I have worked on and fitted suspension before and really need to keep costs down after buying them. My plan is to fit them myself and then get them set up properly by a garage! From what I have heard they shouldnt be too difficult to do, I hope! Did you fit yours?

Did you buy uprated suspension bushes because I havent and wondered if it was essential or whether I could do these at a later date if I felt it was necessary?

Going to fit them tonight but wondered how the old ones come off. Do they slide or pull off. Renault didnt provide any extra fixings so I take it I dont need any!

Is it best to buy ones with fixed dampering or adjustable. Would the adjustable produce better ride comfort when on its softest setting or wouldnt there be anything in it.

Just wondered what peoples thoughts on these are? What is ride like compared to standard because I dont want anything too harsh? Has anyone gone from Eibach pros to these? Any advice would be great!

Would like to get some coilovers but although people say H&R I just dont think I can justify spending that much money and would like to know which ones are recommended next. I dont really want anything that makes the ride too harsh but except it will change from standard.

Are they any good? Have Eibach pros fitted currently and would like similar road comfort and handling but a lower ride height! Got roughly £500 to spend so what do you guys recommend and where are the best places to buy?

Are H & R springs any good as I believe their coilover kit is. What kind of drop do they give on the MK1 172 and what is the ride like. How do they compare to the Eibachs in term of quality and general performance?

Ride quality is important but performance is good as well. I would like a bit of both. Already have the pros and although handling is good they havent given the drop I would like so I am trying to find the next best spring to the pros but with that little exta drop.
