this issue here is the 17db snr.
it's highly likely that because of poor internal wiring, the BT DLM has upped your SNR target ridiculously high. when you first got DSL MAX were you having disconnection issues?
edit - just to add, i always thought that DLM could only apply a 15db snr target...
are we talking about 7.1mb throughput, or 7.1mb sync speed?
if you have 8128k sync speed then maximum theoretical throughput speed is 7.3mb once you minus overheads, so 7.1mb is as near as perfect as you can get.
hello????
did you read my previous post??
6db is the default SNR on a dsl max line.
at night you should expect it to drop due to interference.
nothing wrong with an SNR below 6db if the line is still remaining stable, i'd only worry about it if u are dropping sync.
this is quite a common problem that i've come across.
it is usually a corrupted user profile on xp.
go into safe mode and create a new user profile and then reboot the computer in normal mode and try entering windows with the new user profile.
5.8 is irrelevant right now.
6db is the default snr target on a dsl max line.
at night your snr can drop due to interference.
with 53db attenuation u should have no problems achieving a faster sync rate either.
i would suggest that something is stopping you sync'ing higher. are you plugged...
your tv won't support anything more than 800x600 like that, so make sure you don't exceed that resolution.
you would be best off with one of these...

i have one and it does the job.
there isn't a proper ps2 to vga adapter, u need to use a vga box...

i have a new widescreen 19" tft monitor with dvi input in my bedroom.
i see that u can get an HD vga cable for the 360 so u can play in hidef on a monitor.
is anyone using one of these?
well, even i was having my doubts as to whether the offer was for real.
i signed up to a mobile phone contract with e2save, with a sony ericsson w810i, 350 mins xnetwork anytime, 6 months half price line rental, and 100 texts.
it said it came with a free gift which was an xbox360, so i thought...
well i managed to build a full tomtom system for £110, so i'd say the wayfinder thing isn't that great value for money.
i paid £80 on ebay for a reconditioned XDA (o2 pda), and £30 for the gps reciever, car charger, and windscreen mount. I then "aquired" a copy of tomtom.
yes i can, and infact i just tried it and it still doesn't boot when i get higher up the fsb clock speed range, but i have been monitoring the temp and i think it might just be down to a crappy cpu heatsink.
i have an intel p4 805 d. it runs standard at 2.66ghz, but is stable at 4.1ghz overclocked. for me though the memory i am using has been the main thing stopping me clocking that high as it can't support an fsb that high.

i can touch type, but if i change keyboards it takes me a while to get used to the new keyboard.
i can switch between my work keyboard, home keyboard, and laptop all pretty easily now.
i just got a widescreen acer 19" tft with 8ms response time and a nice 1440x900 resolution.
