vista has proper compatibility problems. i ran it for a day and then decided i couldn't be arsed cos half my apps/progs/games/hardware wouldn't run properly with it.
personally when i am at work i vnc into my home computer so that work can't see any websites i've visited or apps i'm using apart from realvnc or remote desktop which is built into windows. I have a fixed IP, but you could set up a dyndns account if you wanted to do this.
you still haven't given us your line stats when plugged into the master socket.
as i mentioned before, even if you do sync higher, you will have to wait 3 days of solid sync at that rate for the BRAS to update.
you won't see a physical speed increase instantly when you plug into the master socket, i just want to know the sync speed.
it will take 3 days for your speed to rise again.
eh?
how do you work that out?
you can upgrade after 12 months, you get a new phone.
you can then upgrade after 12 months again and get a new phone.
and so on.
52db attenuation isn't spectacularly bad, but please i beg you plug it into the master socket and use a new filter and tell me what your sync rate is then.
besides, even a 2mb connection should see 200kb/s downloads.
i have a fujitsu siemens and it overheats even when the weather isn't hot.
i had to buy a cooler for it and it still sometimes overheats and turns itself off.
you are allowed to upgrade after 12 months, but obviously this renews your contract, so you have 6 months left of your original contract, and then when that finishes the new contract starts.
last week i got a sony ericsson w810i, 350 mins anytime to any network, half price line rental for 6 months, 100 free texts a month, and a free xbox360.
i've always been an AMD guy, but just got an intel dual core D 805 due to reading this.......

tbh i don't play games really though, so i don't really make best use of it, but i do run it with a 512mb geforce 7600.
yes it would.
if he gets a bad sync and the bt blip logic fix doesn't impliment itself.
it could be anything from a faulty line card at the exchange to a problem with his internal wiring/filters.
whatever happens, if we knew his line stats then if his line rate has dropped below his FTR then...
infact i'll even go one further and say that i'd pay money if you plugged into the master socket and didn't sync considerably higher than you do when using the extension.
ok, i'd strongly advise you to plug into the master socket, i'd also say that you should get a new filter as there have been thunderstorms recently and the filters may have been damaged.
the problem with the dsl max service is that speeds can downgrade on the BRAS in 75 minutes with a bad sync...
this was on saturday night, there was me and 2 leon's coming back from a meet in kent and we found a 182 on the m25 who could almost keep up with us ;)
anyone on here?
