if you have a fast line then 60gb a month is nowhere near enough. I can do that in 2 days if i have stuff queued to go.
i use newsleecher as my newsreader as the supersearch is really really good.
i have the 24" dell 2407 widescreen and i've played a few fps and driving games on it, and watch loads of movies, and not experienced any problems with blurring or poor image quality.
i remember a few people on here have them.
what make and model did u get, and did you do any research into it before u bought, and why did you choose that model over any other?
am thinking of getting one so i can run games at my monitors 1920x1200 native res.
17" ???
welcome to the little league!!
tft's take up no space and you can hang them on a wall, may as well go for the biggest you can afford, and if he has £2600 to spend on a laptop, then he could easily go for a desktop with a 20" or bigger screen.
tbh 20" would have probably been more than enough, this 24" does look insanely large, especially sitting this close to it. only reason i really went for the 24" is cos it's in my bedroom and i watch movies on it, so a big screen made sense if i wanted to watch movies from my bed. the...
i'd just like to add, the viewing angle on this thing is what has impressed me.
my old 19" widescreen acer panel would get dark and blur if you were standing up and didn't adjust the angle of it, this dell you can stand, sit, lay down, stand on your head, etc, and it just doesn't need any...
i just bought this screen today and all i can say is OMFG! it really is immense.
it looks massive on my desk, and the fact it has so many inputs is great...
dvi-d, vga, composite, component, svideo, it also has a built in card reader, and 4 powered usb ports.
i am running it from a 512mb...
do what i advise customers to do, buy a router from pc world, use it to test, then take it back afterwards as pc world returns policy is basically no quibble returns.
bt have a backlog at the moment as they have an issue with their system.
they won't tell u this, but bt wholesale have up to 11 days delay at the moment.
i have the zalman cnps 9500 and it kicks ass!
only think i find now is that because i have overclocked my processor, my zalman, and my chassis fan are working overtime to keep things cool so it's pretty noisy, although the zalman does come with a fan speed controller, so when the machine is...
i run a dual core intel 805d which is originally 2.66ghz. finally today i got my arse in gear and bought an stupidly large zalman 9500 heatsink, and now happily run my 805d at 3.8ghz.
according to tomshardware benchmarks, the 805d which costs around £85, clocked at 3.8ghz owns even the pentium...
