i have the 24" dell 2407 widescreen and i've played a few fps and driving games on it, and watch loads of movies, and not experienced any problems with blurring or poor image quality.

i remember a few people on here have them. what make and model did u get, and did you do any research into it before u bought, and why did you choose that model over any other? am thinking of getting one so i can run games at my monitors 1920x1200 native res.

17" ??? welcome to the little league!! tft's take up no space and you can hang them on a wall, may as well go for the biggest you can afford, and if he has £2600 to spend on a laptop, then he could easily go for a desktop with a 20" or bigger screen.

ok, a comparison of my old 19" acer widescreen, and the size of this new one.

the above picture shows the picture in picture mode where i have my freeview box hooked up to the composite input on the screen.

no pics i take really put into perspective how big this thing looks when u are sitting infront of it.
